I have to say I just love how alot of people make fun of people not wearing leathers....im sure a lot of you makin fun did not start off with leathers either.

I also have to point out there is a lot of people that wear leathers can't ride for shit.....but yet point an laugh and call people squids. When yet the goon in the leathers can't ride to save his life. So makes me wonder who is the real squid in this case.

I plan on getting leathers as well but for now its jeans and jacket helmet and gloves...guess im a squid. But that's ok I wouldn't want to get stuck behind some goon in full leathers that thinks he's ricky road racer...when we all know he should be on a moped:rofl:rofl.

Just to point out im not against leathers just tired of this shit talk aren't we all out to ride...oh and next time you see a harley rider go up and call him a squid just to see what happens...make sure you pick the biggest and baddest of them all.

I don't think this thread is to start bashing on people without gear but more to give a :wtf to certain people that don't really get it or just don't care. If you look at the picture I posted it is of a guy on a scooter with coffee in hand and helmet not secured. I don't hate the guy but I certainly did a :wtf when I snapped that photo!

Don't get me wrong I believe we should wear gear..some of us can't just get it all at once. I fall into this class.

But at the same time I don't believe in bashing people that don't have it. Perhaps they are working on it.

I ride dirt as well and have a pretty good setup for gear in dirt now I need to get the street gear.

I may be green to this board...oh yeah maybe it is the green bike hahaha...but not to riding we all make our choices dang here I go again:blah:blah:blah:blah ok ill sit back and watch let's just :ride
 
Allow me to point to the urban dictionary...

A squid is not necessarily someone riding without gear. It's someone riding well above their heads and typically it's someone riding above the legal and even "safe" limits putting others at risk. There are other things that fall into that category but just riding without gear doesn't automatically make someone a squid. This has been mentioned before and I believe even in this thread, IIRC

Now, please resume with the lolz!
 
I was wearing a full suit, race boots, leather gloves, and a helmet when I crashed while squidding it up
