Stolen in San Jose in the area of Curtner and Canoas garden at around 2 am. I heard a bike taking off in my area and thought it sounded like mine. I ran outside and it was mine. The bike stopped down the street because the idiots couldn't figure it out that it was on GP shift but it wasn't enough time to get to them.

VIN:JYARJ12Y47A004646
LICENSE PLATE # 18N7980
Woodcraft swingarm spools and snake skin tank pads are the only mods but not pictured.
Clutch cover does have minor scratches. Bike just broke 12xx.

:thumbdown sorry for your loss, hope they get caught or at least you get your bike back.

:mad too close for me...i'd be soooo pissed right now if i came that close to preventing it or at least catching them in the act:mad

I see a giant chain. Did they cut through it?

I'm so sorry for your loss, ma'am (I don't see a name listed in your profile, so I'm guessing at gender based on the bike).

All kidding aside, there are few things that piss me off more than bike thieves. I hope you get your baby back in one piece, and I hope that the thief is in much worse condition.

Thanks guys.

Who wants to do a steak out? Lol I know for a fact they live in my area. My car got stolen earlier this month also. The only way to get in and out is with a remote.

They could have also tailgated someone who was coming in or going out. Sorry for the lost of your bike.

Yeah they cut through that chain. It's a little more than a 1/4 in thick. They left me a souvenir of what was left of the chain.

That's impressive. Your info says two bikes stolen in two years. I'd consider paying more in rent (moving) and saving on insurance.

Either way, I'm not victim-blaming. Thieves suck. I'll be on the lookout.

They could have but I heard the leaving past the quickly past the point of the gate so someone that lived there had to be involved.

I moved to this place new place hoping to get a peace of mind. I've only been here 2ish months. Definitely gonna break my lease and gtfo.

Sux.

Most of the bike theft reports posted here are from shared apt/condo parking setups with gated 'secure' parking.

Any shared access security gates at apt/condos there might be only serve as a false veneer of security.

"All my vehicles are getting stolen" is going to help your case for breaking the lease. Fucked up situation, that.

Free bump. I saw a bike that looked similar today but had a carbon 2Bros exhaust.

In addition to the fact that the majority of theft threads seem to involve San Jose. Makes me wonder if the jacked up SJPOA pissing match with city hall has something to do with this. Certainly seems to be open season on crime down there.

And this is why i keep the race bikes in my living room! (house not apt) I would hear the thieves moving the couch to get them out.

Also being in SJ I hate to hear stories like this. I will keep an eye out as well. sounds like you need a heavier chain or an alarm, and a new apt.
