Stupid Virus - Taplika

So while trying to update Adobe I managed to download a virus (actually a series of them). Taplika added on to google Chrome and managed to add all kinds of other crap (Crossbrowse and a bunch of advertising popup stuff).

Took me the better part of an hour to figure out how to uninstall all the crap

Taplika was the reason I formatted my hard drive and installed Ubuntu rather than windows. Do it! You will not regret it.

IIRC, Adobe's Flash updater always wants to install McAfee, you have to be aware and opt out, which is why no automatic updates for anything on my computers. Adobe gets lots of money from McAfee, but it's a shitty way to do business.
