Suggestions for career change, good paying short training no v demand options?

Nooooo. It’s not like I called you Eeyore!!

Perhaps fart-smeller is better ? Or, a peach?

Maybe he has a legitimate medical reason to not want it? (At 51, admittedly it’s a short list) but you didn’t even give him the benefit of the doubt... not everyone that disagrees with “you” is dumb.

Yeah I'm sure that's it and not all the other statements lol

You two seem to be at the end of your productive public dialogue in this thread.

Triggered? That’s all you got? Can’t even have a little fun ‘round here with getting some panties all bunched up. :twofinger

God, BARF is loaded with so many blow hard dicks these days. (I’d say pussies, but pussies are actually tough, and I’m not sure I’ve seen a pussy circle jerk.)

There is irony here. Can you see it?

had a few thoughts, but considering ‘the lie of gender ideological propaganda many many women do act in abusive manipulative, lying manipulative, hypocritical ways, "empowered" by female-biased media, hr policies, feminist propaganda, etc.’, i’ll just say it’s doubtful you’d be receptive anyway. that said, i respectfully recommend an attitude adjustment, or perhaps less transparency. irrespective of what you decide to do, if you wear that shit on your sleeve, you may encounter more than a little ‘get the fuck outta here’ from your potential customers. same could be said for the vax comments.

don’t wish you any ill will, but holy shit dude. :rolleyes

AWS as in American Welding Society? What online training do they offer that would be beneficial starting at 51?

:laughing

Pretty sure that stands for Amazon Web Services.

People that make those suggestions tend to forget that not everybody's mind is going to be geared for that sort of work.

Ah okay, just a knuckle dragger over here.

The industry I'm in it's actually quite rare to come across women. Can honestly say I only remember seeing 1 this year and I had no interaction with her. I'm not saying that as a good thing or bad thing, I'm saying that as there are still jobs out there where that's a reality.

You have too many boxes to check OP , you need to prioritize those wants in order and then you can decide what to do. It's been said before but you're pretty old to be starting over. Being that old and that picky is a recipe for disaster.

I'm confused why I am being called out for using the OP's own words to back up my impression. I did not insult SVJ and you need to cut out lumping people who disagree in the same boat of being insulting.

Many in this thread have expressed disappointment in how he has framed his situation whether its insulting women, being anti-science etc. but of course our dialog "isn't productive".

I don't get it... Should I not be assuming their gender?

If we're splitting hairs, I'm sure the industry I'm in has a lot of women. They're just not in the field.

God damn it I asked the good Lord to help me, and here you go leading me astray.

I'm saying that outside of the pr0n industry (and apparently portions of the massage industry), there aren't many jobs where you come across a lot of women.

Hey yooooo.

.

Every woman I know has a job, and only very few of them work in porn or massage therapy. Women make up 51% of the population, so I'm guessing you're just looking in the wrong industries.

:facepalm

Think like a frat boy for one second, and re-read the bolded part with laughter and innuendo in your voice.
And I'm fine with you castigating me if it goes that way, but please understand it's sophomoric humor and not an idiotic statement about how women don't work or shouldn't be in certain industries.

tl;dr:
Lighten up Francis. It's a joke.

Am I wrong in thinking that 'coding' is basically learning a new language and then writing very detailed instructions in this new language?
And is this 'coding' so lucrative that anyone with a pulse can quickly lean one of several languages and earn six figures while not really putting in a full 8 hour day of staring at this new language and verify accuracy? Or is it much like any other endeavor where a small percentage are skilled enough to make a lot of money while most folks make a living doing a boring job?

Most of this rings pretty true. It's not anyone with a pulse, but IMO anyone who could handle Associates Degree level courses would do fine. it's not a 6 figure job outside of tech hubs, where the job competition is also pretty heavy.

Also, luck is at least as important as skill in getting the 'lot of money' jobs.
