Such a nice wave. I miss shaped waves, back to my sloppy beach break :cry

Uh Oh!!! Back in action, just got some costco wave storms on craigslist! The waves have been junky, and I haven't been surfing much so these should crank up the radness!!!

Anyone have any info on repairing dings on these things? or should I even bother? can't wait to get out and ride some chop!

From SurferMag:

Make sure damage is clean and dry. Rough it up a little with sand paper, make sure to clean any grit leftover from sandpaper. Get a hot glue gun. As you lay down a 'bead' of the hot glue, lick your finger and smooth it out. Yes, if you are not careful (dont keep your finger sufficiently lubed with your saliva) you will get burned. Dipping your finger in water WILL NOT work. If you cant produce enough saliva to keep up with the glue before it sets, get your wife-G/F to help and have some fun! Best if you "practice" on something (old body board, cmon you know you can find one somewhere!) first. This method also works well for seams that are coming apart.

For larger repairs (like the top-skin or bottom plastic skin delaming), use contact cement to glue the material back together. once again, make sure clean and dry.Remove any old adhesive and rough up w/ sandpaper. Apply thin layer to BOTH surfaces that will make contact with each other. Let dry for approx 15-20 min. till glue looks competely hazy. Press firmly together, even putting something like a cinder block on it for a while.

This is the only surfing I've been up to as of late.

That's wild!!! I might take the Wavestorm out between tides here at Carmel if the waves look terrible... I don't want to get in anyones way with that thing and get beat up hahaha

Forgot I no longer have a wetsuit... (apparently it HAS been that long since I tried this whole surfing thing) anyhow my brother and I went and checked out the waves. Carmel was really small so we headed down the coast through Big Sur and found an amazing little break with no one around.

We're going to be surfing the foamies around Santa Cruz tomorrow if anyone is down? Capitola/Pleasure Point most likely depending on the crowds (less the better) PM me if you're paddling out

I left my debit card in Capitola the the other day... heading back up right now with Surfboards in tow! If anyone wants to meet up let me know may just foam it right there at the beach or head to pleasure point.

Nick & I will be there let me know!

Hey guys,
just learned to SUP surf at famous Scorpion Bay, San Juanico, Baja Calif.
Point 1 is the perfect place to learn. Got to be one of the best waves in the world, 30-40 second rides all day, will be moving to the longboard soon!
5hr drive for use kiters in La Ventana, near La Paz. Baja rocks!

Dear lord!!! And I thought Carmel was having a good week...

I was feeling sick when I got off work last night, but got a gatorade and cruised by the beach. 2-3 foot rolling waves and not a hint of wind or clouds. I called up Nick and he met me at the beach and we surfed from about 6PM to 9:45PM watched the sunset from the water and the moonrise and had a blast on the foamies in the small surf!!

No bikinis:x as it was only 60 some odd degress... but man what fun!

We're the 2 dots out in the water.. some random friend on Facebook posted it didn't even know we were there!
