Suzuki enters 250 streetbike market.

Looks like a baby gs500 to me. Nice styling though.

Yeah, like leftover GS500 parts with a B-King headlight plopped on the front to make it "modern." It needs a little detail work to make it truly nice looking. But it's a pretty nice update to the UJM look.

I'd snap that thing in half like toothpick.

.

nb4 toratora stinks it up with 250s and 500s are too heavy and lame talk.

Wow what is up with all these "smaller" bikes comming out?

small bikes: educate riders on how to ride .... get you around in the mean time, and gives miles of smiles when you become a veteran ... I mean ...
IF your ego can handle not having the latest fire breathing beasty ...

Nothing new for Zook as they have entered the "250" street bike years ago til now. Ever heard of the TU250X or GZ250?

Those bikes top out around 70 mph I believe.

So no, those 250cc bikes aree not real competition for the little Ninja or Honda while this newest one seems to be, (ie. 95mph top speed +/-)

thats an inconvenient fact ....

Oh so now top speed is thrown into the mix because there's nothing new about "Suzuki enters 250 streetbike market" :laughing???

There was a little Suzuki 250 "streetbike" available in the 80's that top out just a hair above 90MPH so as I've said, putting 250 streetbike in the market is nothing new Zook whether it tops out at 75 or 90 mph:

Fair enough.

I'd change the title to entering the Sporty 250 market but sadly can't.

The eighties? :rofl
When Suzuki introduced the X6 in the fall of 1965, it caused an immediate sensation. Developed with the goal of captivating the U.S. market, the Hustler was designed to be the fastest 250 cc motorcycle in the world. The bike featured Suzuki's first ever tubular steel double-cradle frame, and its air-cooled two-stroke sleeved aluminum cylinder engine was capable of just about 100 mph. Surprisingly sophisticated, this little engine achieved 100 hp per one liter cylinder volume, which meant it could outrun most of the bigger, faster bikes on the road. It featured automatic oil injection, but more importantly, it was the first six speed motorcycle ever to go into full production.
It actually could go much faster with a couple of minor tweaks.

It's a baby bandit!!

Kinda neat, actually. Again, I don't think I would fit on it, but kinda neat.

Not neat at 401 lbs wet.

Did they run out of aluminum and steel? Are we building bikes out of lead these days?

Jesus.

I mean, seriously.. My VFR800 is 100 lbs heavier.

What exactly were they shooting for? Underwhelming 'also ran' next to the Ninja 300 and CBR250R?

Ditch the ugly banana seat, grab bar, and limp-dick exhaust, and they might have something.

Not everyone wants the plastics. The Ninjette is only 25 pounds lighter. The 300 is 20 pounds lighter. That aint much. The little zook ia also a thousand bucks cheaper. It's all trade-offs I guess. If Suzuki is at the show maybe they will have one there. It's always better to get an eye on it.

I do get what yer saying. A used Veefer in decent shape probably goes for about 4-5K. Perish the thought of a n00b on a Veefer though! :laughing
