My neighbor across the street lost his father in an airplane accident in Saudia Arabia in 1979.

They have some pretty sweet stuff from Saud

it's hot

like very hot

When I was there in '04 they didn't have modern sewage so the poop truck would come by and pump the street's tank every morning... smelled horrendous.

But since it was hot, you didn't go outside so you never really smelled it anyway.

The way they greet each other is a little different than what we're used to here. Whenever men meet men, they kiss on the mouth (open, but no tongue) and the foreigner is expected to initiate the kiss and follow through even if there is some physical resistance. Women get a double cooter-tap and it's customary to make a "tk tk" sound with your cheek during said cooter-tap. Also make sure to bring athiest propaganda as a gift when visiting someone's home.

Yeah Dubai would be so cool.
Kissing dudes on the lips, nope not happening. Fuck that custom up the ass.

And whats the difference between sucking dudes lips or cock? Yeah thats right no difference

This.

Fuck that noise. Get a damn handshaje if youre lucky.

Op, ive never been there, but a few friends have. Heres their input...

-Very fuckin hot, like phoenix in august but worse.

-Plenty to go n see, beautiful architecture n shit.

-Very religious, obviously.

-Most ppl are polite, many are kinda rude/aggressive tiwards americans.

-Lot of good food if arabic food is your thing. (Cant stand it personally)

-Expect to see women treated like sub-human creatures and other non-western customs.

That last one was the main issue for my friends when they traveled there. Some areas are a "little" more relaxed, but not really. They all commented on how much they wanted to talk shit n speak up about how women are treated there, but, they were spooked of the possible consequences.

Other than that.... they enjoyed the trips but none have returned.

But don't forget departures. In most parts of SA, it's customary to repay the host's hospitality through your wife. She must kneel in front of the host, kiss his right hand, and then use her right hand to gently cup his testicles. Afterwards, she is expected to blow her husband a kiss off her right hand. In the more religious parts of SA she does not blow a kiss. Instead, she is expected to lick her right hand and then kiss her husband.

You might lose your head indulging in the culture....

On a serious note, a few things I learned living in a predominantly Muslim country:

Don't offer or use your left hand much, especially when eating.

When the call to prayer comes, uncross your arms and legs to sit upright.
Do not cross your legs so that you are showing people the soles of your feet or shoes.

Remove shoes when entering a home.
Do not walk in front of people at prayer.
Do not make physical contact with someone of the opposite sex.
No pda's.
Dress modestly.

I've never been to ksa but those suggestions should help keep you on the right side of the path.

When checking out the local merchandise, DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING unless you are going to buy it! It is expected if you touch something, you are going to buy it.
