Tats from the tattoo braggin thread - split by Bap

It's only bad luck if you believe it's bad luck, like a self fulfilling prophecy. Maybe it was doomed from the start.

Designed it me'self, inked by Miss Jesse of Diablo Ink in Pleasant Hill.
Fantastic place.

goes from under shoulder blade to side of waist over the ribs.

Dang, it hurt! Love it, though.

Ha, I know Jesse through a long time friend who has got about a half dozen over there. I got my octopus done there, too!

Im not afraid of anything. Thats just one of my rules. No names no dates unless its of someone who has passed.

Good for you on your 15 years. I just always see it as bad luck.

smart woman. have an A on my leg that will never go away. good for you for making it last so long, but it is a curse to get a name or date tattoed

I love my tattoos, (entire back, one sleeve, other areas) but I got them for me, not for some one else. I only show off all of them one day a year... guess which one? :cool

No way! No names and no "forever" tattoos. Its bad juju! I may be with him and love him for the rest of my life but man that is just a big mistake.
That is the only thing you should be afraid of

:thumbup power of belief is a powerful thing.

Like I said ...I never would. Its a rule I have for myself. I dont need a tattoo to express to someone how much they mean to me or how Im showing them I will be with them forever. Like someone said earlier. My tattoos are for me and no one else. He'd never get a tattoo for me and I wouldnt get one for him. Kudos to all those who have. I think its just a bad idea again this is Just my opinion.

I dont get names or words because they are unaestetichally pleasing to me lol script does not look nice to me.

and I firmly believe any tattoo with MEANING, espeically one connected to a person, is flawed.

Blacklight tattoos don't last like real ones do. They loose their glow.

Hey anyone here have their tattoo become raised and a bit irritated? I noticed if my tattoo is exposed to the sun for awhile it raises and gets a bit warm. Its kinda weird. I dont remember it happening at all in the beginning. it never happens to the small ones on my wrist but happens ALOT to the half sleeve on my arm.

raising no but I try and keep mine out of the sun if I can and I use spf100 on it if I know I'm going in the sun. i can feel the sun on it in just a few seconds when I don't

Yes! Mine's itching like hell right now, even after the skin has already healed. I hear this can be anything from the skin's way of rejecting foreign matter, to the humidity, to the color of the ink thats causing the irritation.

When I get angry, stressed and/or hit my outlines can raise up, not all just some.

Ditto. I'm a pasty-ass white girl to start with, so I need to use sunscreen in the first place, and protection from UV supposedly helps keep the colors crisp over... well, the lifetime you're going to have the thing.
