i'd post pix of mine but i'm not on my comp...... i didn't get mine w/any special meaning... but i didn't get it to look cool or tough..... i was bored one day so i just went in and got one... but i did draw my own..

i once saw a girl getting a tatt on her crotch...a little red devil pushing a lawnmower.... hehehe i might get THAT cuz i think it's funny

Tattoos are obviously different things to different people. For me, it's a representation of who I am. I have one dragon and one tiger both on my lower back...the dragon is me (born in '76) and the tiger is my sister (born in '74), and I feel it ties together my Asian heritage and the fact that my sister is "watching my back."

I guess for others, it represents a segment of time or a stage in their life, for some, it reminds them of someone else past or present, some just like the feeling, and for others, they do it 'cause it's *cool*.

Whatever the reason, the most important thing to remember is (I think I read this somewhere) that the pain is temporary, but the tattoo is forever! My advice is before you get a tattoo is that you think about it for a few months...if you're still totally unchanged in your thoughts, go ahead. Just remember - when you're 80 in an old folks home, you'll still have that ink so just don't get something retarded!!!! :laughing
 
I have a few tattoos that mean so much to me..

Two that I have were done by a native tribesman in Tahiti. It was done in a grass hut "old style" dot by painful dot in a ceremony by men in nothing but loincloths and fully tattooed bodies..

When I showed them my "color" tattoos they were amazed because they had never seen so much color.

Tattoos have so much meaning.. those are the best... nothing picked off a wall on a drunk night..

I'll post one day a few of mine.. :)

And when I am 80 years old I'll be able to tell my grandkids about my trip to tahiti and what it meant to me..

That is so F-in cool! Those are real tattoos man, the traditional style. Do you have a special connection to Tahiti, or just there to explore the culture?
Getting a tat like that is akin to buying a POS old car and restoring it into a show winner though your own blood sweat an tears, you earn it.
I have one tat, it's very original and custom, gonna get another custom done in a month or two.
Think about it for a long time before you get it.

One of the best boxers of all time!!!! May be a little crazy but you can't deny his talent...........he's like 5'11" 220lbs fighting guy's who are 6'6" 250+ :hand
