Not stinging too bad, mostly in the morning after my shower and when Jack kicked it this morning when he threw his morning tantrum. He thinks it's cool though. He's always asking "Mommy, where's my hand? I want to see my hand." It's the cutest thing ever.

Just finished it up Saturday. Teresa at Staircase did the work. I'll be going back to her early next year to have a companion piece done on the other side of my leg.

The more I see of her work, the more inclined I am to make an appointment for a consultation with her...

What is her hourly rate and how long is her waiting list?

The lady artists have such a light touch and the tats rarely scab over. The ones I have done by dudes have scabbed over and two actually need a touch up because of the not so gentle touch.

Her rate is $150 an hour, but she works pretty fast. Mine took about 5 hours and she's got a really gentle touch. This tattoo barely scabbed over and is healing really fast.

She's taking appointments for January, but I think the shop only schedules appointments during the first week of each month.

What I like about Teresa is her ability to mimick any style and if you give her an idea about what you want she'll come up with several good suggestions. I'd have no problem letting her run with something.

Yeah, I've heard from enough tattoo covered peeps that female tattoo artists on average aren't quite as heavy handed as the boys. The mens better start looking over their shoulder cuz this industry has really started to shift in recent years and more female artists are making a serious impact.
