Apparently a Chinese version of Amazon. And shit, most stuff comes from Chiner anywho.

My helper bought some stuff and it is sorta decent. I did some research and there seems to be some employee abuse.

But i gave it a shot. Goggles, gloves, a watch, some helmet liners, $10. Watch looks ok, but build looks a bit shitty. Thumbs are short on the gloves. Goggs and liners look fine.

Anyone else try these fuckers?

I recently order a small rug. Nice value and I got it in 2 days!

Predatory pricing? This could easily go political. With free shipping and cheap prices sustainability is difficult.

Buddy ordered the top of the line 100% goggles. The lens seems pretty good, the rest of it seems ok but I can't compare since I only use Oakley. Not sure if the 100% stuff just isn't the same grade as Oakley or if it's cheap knock off

Lots of complaints of items never arriving, taking weeks or months to arrive, poor item quality, data collection that makes phishers jealous, fraudulent credit card use after initial purchase, fake refund notifications.
Much, much more.

Hell no for me.
You're playing Russian Roulette with your identity and credit.

It's all fake knockoffs. I'm actually surprised that they are able to operate in the US so openly.

The only thing I've gotten from them were a pair of tardigrade plush toys, and they are definitely the best tardigrade plush toys I have ever seen.

I have bought items from Temu and the stuff is ok. Good place to buy socks.

I started the same thing on SBR and their comments are more funnier…

The EZP gave me a bad idea, and not sure it's any better than my thoughts on averagelunatic's experience.

From what I gather, he's been married long enough to know he's in solid, but not so long that he's beyond considering adding some spice to life - i.e., the ripe age for firing up an affair. And what better way to attract some side action than a somewhat exotic, era appropriate automobile? That is some good follow-through marketing right there! :laughing

I've ordered some things from them, but then I started reading about their app being malicious:

I've ordered from them. Stuff is so cheap I have little expectation for quality. I was pleasantly surprised about a bleed kit for Mtn bike disk brakes. $2.50. Simplifies the process considerably. I've also bought $7 Crocks shoes. Seemed equivalent to the brand name stuff. Fine for walking out to the mailbox. I've heard stories of problems, but my transaction was fine with no funny payment stuff.

I've also bought a Yamaha "OEM" replacement vacuum sensor from Alibaba Express for $5. Haven't gotten around to comparing it to the real OEM in my Yamaha. I'll be testing it with a volt meter, 5 volt power, and my brake bleed vaccum pump. OEM is $80 at Partzilla. And I know it may work fine out of the box, but not last with time.

Nope. Never. If it’s not on Amazon, I don’t need it.

And why blatantly support the Chinese? They rip off anything they think will make them money and they have zero respect for patents.

I don't trust those fuckers

I've bought from Temu but it's only things that would be really hard to mess up, as far as quality. Products from Chinese online shops, including ebay Chinese accounts don't really carry the same intense stigma of 'rolling the dice' and 'buyer beware' compared to 20ish years ago.

Same reason you shop on Amazon.

Why would you blatantly support a super billionaire like Jeff Bezos when you could shop elsewhere? Also, newsflash... You spend a fair amount of money on Chinese produced products so you blatantly support China too. We all do. Sticking to an only Made in America consumerism (or just not China) ideal is pretty much impossible these days without severely impacting your own convenience.

No. Slave labour abounds apparently.

Some ladies at work have bought some products, and they are shite.

Sorry but 70% of stuff on Amazon is Made in China. Who but someone in slave-like desperate straits would work for so little to make the largely unnecessary junk we feel entitled to buy for as little as we wish to pay?

As I've said, I've bought some knick-knacks from Temu. If you don't like Temu, don't buy from them. I've also been chastised for buying from Amazon because of how they treat their workers. Similar things can be said about Walmart, both about labor practices and the abundance of Chinese products. Even Harbor Freight has mostly Chinese tools and doodads. So there is no escaping stuff made in China because they are the manufacturer for the world these days. And they can manipulate their currency to give themselves a cost advantage if they choose. I wouldn't know what to tell you, if you truly want to avoid Chinese stuff.

I also want to remind everyone, when they talk about labor practices, that we all benefit from fruits and vegetables picked in this country by undocumented people. It's not forced labor, but these jobs are given to them because they have few other options.
