Texas thugs indicted for sex assault, oppression, theft

:applause

Now watch the evidence get mishandled or the jury get tampered with some other bullshit.

No one looks hawt.

(Be interesting to see the outcome of this).

Please tell me that a body cavity search on the side of the road is not legal.

No. I have no idea why they did what they did, and not they'll have to deal with it in court.

Whenever I've suspected the person I've arrested had drugs inside them, its a complex procedure to "get inside the body".

If road side body cavity search were made legal, roads would be lined with dead cops. It would be time for war. There better be some stiff jail time for the cops responsible. Or I'm just going to say fuck all police. Fuck the courts. Fuck the whole system. Its broken beyond repair.

"The women also claimed that Helleson used the same latex glove to check both of their anuses and vaginas — all while other cars zipped past them on the public roadway."

I wonder if Helleson spent the bulk of her career working the jail where cavity searches were probably SOP prior to being assigned to traffic.

A cavity search... at a traffic stop... for littering... because Ferrell smelled pot. Farrell should be fired for not stopping the invasive search. :thumbdown

So, you're saying that I can't just request one the next time I get pulled over? :teeth

Nope, even intake strip searches aren't SOP at many jails.

Well at least they got that evil weed off the streets. Wait, the article says they didn't find any. How could the brave hero smell marijuana and not find any? Heyyyyy, they wouldn't just contrive tjhe smell just to go on a fishing expedition, would they?

Um, Farrell ordered the search, he wasn't just a wallflower.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The fourth amendment applies equally to car windows and vaginas. Get a warrant if you want inside.

Not to mention spread any disease from one woman to the other. Hope they both see a large payout for this roadside rape.

Yup, pretty much sounds like roadside rape. Hope both the LEOs responsible get the max sentence--we can't have shit like this going on in a civil society.

Super bad form to not switch gloves between women, let alone between orifices. Let alone in public. Super bad form to do a body cavity search in those circumstances, and in public.

I think techincally by definition it could be construed as rape

Police Officer used her authority under the guise of search procedure to penetrate.

WHO definition : "physically forced or otherwise coerced penetration – even if slight – of the vulva or anus, using a penis, other body parts or an object"

Most definitions require the penetration to be "of a sexual nature" so that would be the only disqualifying indication here.

I think you would be hard pressed to get a rape charge filed

Sexual assault. I wonder what level of self defense, or third party intervention, would be warranted/allowed in this situation. Ohio defines digital penetration as rape. What does Texas call it?
