Completely unfair. I pay a ton of taxes and will get $0. Not 1 penny. This is completely unfair, I can use the money as well as the next person. In fact, I'm probably poorer than most people who'll get some dollars.

Ok, I needed to complain. I only have 1 suit and would be nice to get a ventilated suit; I only have cheap gloves and would be nice to get decent gloves. This is just unfair. I was all happy reading IRS's first paragraph that you only need to have filed w/ an income of $3k, then there's this crap about phase out. Piece of garbage.

Ehh...stop your whining. Just means that you need to examine your spending habits. I wrote off self-administered enema as medical expense and still missed the cutoff by a lot. And I'm poor as shit. I've got liquidity problems like Bear Stearns. :(

The more you are overburdened by taxes the less anybody cares because you made more than them. It stinks but we keep electing these fools.:x

Those with more should pay more to preserve their more-ness. U have more to lose from change than those who don't have a whole lot. Desperation is recipe for revolution.
 
My family is too rich for me to get federal financial aid. Never mind that we live in a fantastically expensive area, and especially ignore the fact that they have three kids after me waiting to go to college.

Yep, the gasoline bill is fugly and it's only March. The last 2 digits of my SS # is high, so I probably won't see anything until the latter part of July. We should get the $1200.

And I really, REALLY want to shoot whoever decided to append the word "stimulus" to this abortion of a bill.. "Stimulus" means something ENTIRELY different than "stimulation" in this context.

I feel your pain. I'm not eligible for the rebate either even though I paid ~$36K in federal and state taxes in 2007. It looks like I'll be paying the AMT again. :mad Meanwhile my brother and his wife will once again get all the money back that they paid in taxes and get more back on top of that. My brother also thinks it's not fair that he doesn't have to pay but he is just going along with the tax laws.

Why is it an abortion of a bill? Because we can't cry poverty making above national norm income with hundreds of thousand in equity living in the bay area? Outside of real estate, other areas of this country doesn't have it any easier. If you figure in cost of quality public education in this state, it's pretty close to a wash in terms of raising a family. Food in this state is damn cheap. Auto insurance isn't too bad compared to some parts of the country like the Northeast. Gas is a bit higher but not by that much. A lot of imported goods are cheaper due to the proximity to oversea transport and comsumption volume. And overall, goods and services are cheaper due to illegal alien labor costs. Just because you own a home in this state doesn't mean it's cause for entitlement. If you bought a decent home in this state 15 years ago, you can easily finance 2 to 3 public college educations by leveraging equity in your home.
 
You want to complain? Posh! Last year I made a whopping $28k and I still don't get a stimulus. Why? Because I OWE taxes being a small business owner. They'll take my check from me anyway since I have to pay them all the time.

Thank god THOSE days are soon going to be over! Bastards.

I wish someone would get in the right place and get rid of the income tax since that crap's illegal anyway.
 
I don't understand why all you guys complaining about taxes don't just take lower paying jobs. Not only will you pay a lot less in taxes, but it'll help prevent inflation! Win-win!
