***The Last SF Travelling Social 10/19 ~ Chinatown/NorthBeach***

That was great! The bar was a bit on the small side, but I'm glad to see people come out to the last(?) Travelling Meet:teeth

People seem to like the brewery across the street, so it's a possiblity for next time.;)

I'll post a poll up to see if you kids still wanna travel as long as the weather is good:p

Thanks again to all that came. Hope everyone made it home safe.

Didn't make it tonight--I figure that showin' up once every few months is plenty. :p

Ah hush.... :p

I just sit in a corner with my nose in a beer all night anyway. :blush

Very nice! Good to see so many people - hope it is not really the "last" travelling meet.

admit it.you just dont like it when a guy's all up in your grill, wearing WAY too much
'high karate' ......
:cry :cry

That was fun. I learned the whereabouts of a rather fine burger joint, offended two BARFers (at Fwankie's behest, I might add), and saw a vagrant with his pants down (Hillary - how was the ride home with that guy? Did he fit on the Monster OK?).

Herny - the weather is irrelevant. Since none of us live upstairs from the Pig And Whistle, it makes not one tiny jot of difference where we meet. Except that there are few places in the city as cold and foggy as that part of Geary. So we might be better off travelling through the whole of winter too. Let's face it, the P+W is often crowded, and we can find warmer stretches of pavement to hang out on than that...

Having said that, the P+W is one of my favourite bars outside the Mission. Can we keep going to the P+W every other week and maybe keep the travelling going? I've found a lot of cool places in this city through the travelling meets, and I'd be sorry to see them stop...

Once upon a time, there was a BARFer who lived upstairs from Hukilau. One free beer to the one who knows who that was. Veterans, keep your mouths shut! :shhh

That very same BARFer actually made the meet last night, too. :thumbup

I think it would be great to keep the traveling meet going every other week.

i'll post up a poll along with next Weds meet info....:teeth

*edit*

Not funny, that was traumatic!

:green

:laughing

That was a fun meet... lots of fun people, good food, a small but cool bar... I had a good time.

We should definitely go back to the Brewery place, the owner was really cool, it would be great to give him some more business in the future. Too bad parking sucks around there, but he is working on it.

Henry, thanks for organizing the traveling meets, and hawkgirl thanks for organizing the P&W ones!

There's no such thing as "too much" Hai Karate.... :love Me play Geisha girl...love you long time! :laughing

And +1 on the Brit's idea to keep the meets going/traveling. As rarely as I show up, I like having the option of a) attending and b)going someplace other than the P & W.
