The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

I guess that's the end of the Alex Smith era

To be signed on Tuesday.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000903491/article/oakland-raiders-hire-jon-gruden-as-head-coach

"With potentially just one season left in Oakland before a move to Las Vegas in 2020 (2019's location has not been confirmed), the Raiders are bringing a big name to lead the franchise into a new era with a hefty commitment to go with it."

According to NFL.com, apparently it was between TB Bucs and Oakland, both trying to get him back. Coordinators are all getting 4 year deals. Insane contact to me, especially to be moving in the next year or two. I like Jon Gruden but I am wondering what you guys' thoughts are on this?

i don't understand how the CBS All Access stream of the game is crappier than the reddit stream. makes no fucking sense.

I think the game has passed Gruden and he won’t effect any positive change to the Raiders. It’s A. E. Newman’s money though so he can waste it any way he sees fit. Just like the Lich King before him.

@byke
I noticed that the Jags defense was one of the dirtiest the 9ers faced all season.

What an awful game. Hopefully the next one will have a higher level of talent and performance.

Tyrod Taylor v. Blake Bortles...so very underwhelming. The Steelers are going to bounce the Jags like red headed stepchildren.

Fuck yea chuckys back.

Did you see him coach the raiders from 98-01 cuz i did.

And did u see him get traded and win the bowl 1st year at tampa??

I did, fyi chucky coming back to Oakland is almost a fairytale story say like harbaugh never leaving the 9ers and going back to college ball.

Its only going to benefit the team in every shape possible

I'm sure Gruden will be fine. He studied film constantly both because of his ESPN job and because he wanted to stay current.

The real issue will be the rest of the coaching staff he assembles, play calling, and whether they can fix Cooper's dropsies.

Couple penalties at horrible times cost Panthers

I am actually sad a little bit, i fooqn loved chucky & mnf and his gruden grinder shit

Meh. That was for show.

His QB Camps were fucking awesome.

Nathan Peterman played 4 plays.

1 intentional grounding
1 fumble
1 INT to seal the game

That's unbelievable.
