Heeellloooo it's me again with a probably dumb question but you don't know what you don't know.
Got new boots, went to adjust shifter accordingly when I learned that one of my bolt tie rod nuts, the threading appears to be stripped and as a result of that, it is stuck on the tie rod. It won't travel the threading and come loose so I can replace it (I believe this one is just the standard 6mm hex nut so easy peasy). The other nut seems okay to me.
My question is, is there a way to remove this nut without damaging the bolt tie rod or should I just replace the bolt tie rod and be done with it? It's not expensive but I'd have to find one or order it.
Anyone in San Jose or South bay who might be able to remove it for me, I can bring this little part to you so you can work your magic along with a treat of your choice
Of course I could be totally wrong with my assessment, I DID have to look up what this part was even called haha.
Advice and hands-on help where available truly appreciated
