What's up all? I just threw me f00kin back out & am now writhing in pain @ home (relatively speaking, I just slammed a few Vicodin's, Motrin, & a 7&7 :shhh :party).

So, I need suggestions on what film to watch 2 get my mind off the lower back. I have a large collection of crime films, a lot of French New Wave, so hit me w/ the suggestions. Winner gets a thumbs-up and possibly a BARF salute.:teeth

Boondock Saints

Heavy Metal

E.T.

The Sandlot

Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Boondock Saints -- check! I will put it into a pile and wait for 30 minutes for any other suggestions to come in.

Well you don't want anything funny because laughing will not help you out. Are you going to rent? Want gory? Resident Evils? Or if you are looking in your own stuff, I don't don't what French New Wave is. :( Crime, anything with Denzil? His are usually good. Sorry about your back that sucks. If it was me I'd go with something scary :thumbup

You don't know what French New Wave is?!??!?!? :x

J/k! You should check out some of these fellas' films, they're considered "alternate cinema" and they are the very definition of cool and cinematic ingenuity (IMHO): Jean Pierre Melville "Le Samourai (remade by Jarmusch into "Ghost Dog" w/ Forrest Whitaker)

Jean-Luc Godard "Bande A Part", "Alphaville" "Vivre sa Vie"

Francois Truffaut "400 Blows", "Farenheit 451"

You'll enjoy 'em!

I'll check them out. Here we are supposed to be helping you :laughing This would be a perfect time to do a series marathon. Grab a movie series, like xmen, lord of the rings, mummy's, Freddy etc. Something like that and just zone out.

I just put two into the pile myself: "The Pawnbroker" by Sidney Lumet & "Tell No One" by Guilluame Canet.
