Last week I woke up one day with my right thumb feeling really tender whilst moving it. I bought a brace and installed it today, and it feels a lot better. I don't play tennis, and don't have other activities that over exert it.

I know, I know, here we go, bring it on. After just a few hours of using this brace, the feeling of tension, and the pain, is totally gone. The brace leaves the palm open and straps around the thumb and over the back of the wrist. Thank you Amazon, although Bezos is a TOTAL FUCKING PIECE OF CRAP. My chest is now unweighted, thank you very much.

Bodies are funny. My partner sprained her big toe the other day. She was slipping her shoes off by pushing down on the heel with her toe. Her body just forgot the engage the toe muscles and let it flex too far. Something we’ve all done 1000s of times and one day you just mess it up. So weird.

It didn't happen to me...

Super Bowl party. Attendee gets hammered, falls asleep for hours, elbow on the couch arm, head in hand. When he finally is stirred, complains about his wrist. X-ray reveals stress fracture.

One of my tennis clients would up with a bad thumb. She was an office manager, piano player and one of those three had to go. Ex-client. :(

Dogged her for years. Recommend fully healing before doing cartwheels. Could be small bones drifted back into place, but a ligament could be stretched and would allow repeat of original injured state. G'luck

Sleep with a wrist brace every night.
Sleeping is dangerous!!!!

I get injured getting out of bed. Fortunately I've mastered the getting into part, so far, without sustaining a injury.

I sleep all curled up and as of recently this has resulted in problems with numb hands. I wasn't gonna care much until it started getting in the way of moto fun. Right hand gets a wrist brace every night now, but I'm looking for a better one as this one cuts into the webbing around my thumb if I wear it tight. I probably need braces for my elbows as well. I'm a side sleeper so this all gets kinda annoying, but I'll do what it takes to keep the hands functional for motorcycles.

I have found my left shoulder/arm socket will wake me up now, when it is unsupported.
Arm weight pulling it out of the socket, wake up in pain.
I rolled up a towel, and slip it under my arm @ the pit, pushing it back into the socket,

Tru dat.

I use a pillow between my legs to keep the metal knee from bothering the good knee.
When I flop to my back I move it to support my bootie where I broke the leg.

I too have a big shoulder issue (major arthritis for me) and can barely sleep on my left side even though I really want to and will attempt it at least once a night.

There is a product called "Stopain". They sell it on Amazon. It really works. My dog and his g/f chase each other around at the park at full speed. Well, they slammed into my left knee at 25mph and I went flying. Landed on my head and left shoulder. Luckily, my head is empty, so no damage there, but my knee and shoulder were killing me, until i used "Stopain". That shit really works.

Stopain gives me headon vibes
