Tire poke on trucks, when did this frog stance look get so popular?

not new as far as i recall. sortofa - first time i passed one of those, i was sporting a t-rex. :laughing

Modern factory wheels look a lot better than the cheap OEM stuff from back in the day. I would think the custom wheel aftermarket is going the way of the car stereo aftermarket.

having recently replaced our stock wheels, can attest that the custom wheel aftermarket is very alive and well. the stock wheels on our sprinter sucked ass (too 'delivery vanish' lol). went with black rhino yorks, and a significantly more aggressive tire (4X4 van struggled in the snow with the factory setup). shit ton of options out there, but serious competition for inventory. we're up in the land of bro-dozers though, so YMMV.

that said - we stayed within the manufacturers tech envelope. still a massive improvement.

I checked my truck. About 3/4" of poke.

I like the way it looks. :teeth

Be grateful you don't live in an area where swangers are popular:

H town checking in :laughing

Whatever happened to spinners? That didn't last.

And why do people call them rims? They are wheels. They have hubs and shit. Shit connects the rims to the hubs.

Been saying this shit for years. Massive pet peeve of mine. Rims are PART of a wheel. They're not THE wheel.

I almost always prefer the look of a stock premium wheel. Can't help but feel like aftermarket wheels are for teens, regressive 20-somethings, and the recently divorced.

You can tell here from the edge of the mud flap, the oem rim/tire is about 1" away from flush

no poke mafia

really tired of sideways pics, another bad trend imo, this red truck is like +0 or +18, and it sticks out way to far for me already :nchantr

I am literally stuck with running oem and getting custom 1 or 1.25" wheel spacers to get the rim to poke out flush to the wheel wells, this is not what I want to do and creates excessive stress on the studs/wheel bearings.

The stock rims offsets are +60

99% of aftermarket 6x139.7 offset rims are -30, -18, +0, +18,

then we got videos like this telling ppl to run 9, 10, 12, 14 inch wide rims :wtf

Just put spacers on the stock wheels

There's a happy medium somewhere. I think trucks look stupid when the tires are tucked inside the fenders.

Lol do you work for a paint shop. Going anywhere off road with any amount of poke gets your paint stripped for free.

8.4 on the launch; about a 1.3 on the landing

:laughing I love how the wheel/tire that caused it all follows through at the end and finishes things off with a final statement shot at the end.

Better yet, that wheel also stops after hitting the car too.

I wonder if truck driver saw any of this, as he politely pulled over to stop?

The guy that got launched, I would have serious issues with traffic in front of me, , , forever!!
