What do you mean? I have full coverage on my 73 Pinto Runabout so I don't have to pay for it on my 04 911 Turbo. Insurance only costs me $36 per year! DUH!
actually the insurance misunderstanding is understandable. a good policy will cover you driving any car, and anyone driving your car. (apparently some cheap-o ones like geico don't).
they'll even cover a new car you buy.
but all of these are limited--only a few days for a new vehicle you own (vs a friend), probably not a moto if you have car insurance, probably some way of restricting you borrowing your friend's car every day.
and yea it's easy to get insurance without a license, but you do need a permit. that's normal: i got my permit, then a bike, then the license. (well actually i took the msf class first, but in another state.)
and an L's? I don't think you're allowed to take your moto on the muni line to the zoo.

You say pussy, I say responsible adult with zero points on my driving record and cheap insurance.
(and, uh, no one here is telling you to drive slow--get a damned license if you know how to ride; the msf class is a good way to do it. both of those prove you have at least some control and responsibility, not that you're slow.)
