I've ridden with the new gloves, they are supple, light and lovely. I rode with the new boots and almost died! The toe guard is like an ice skate for a rider who can't touch the ground. My SO removed them last night, I'll go out and try it again.

I haven't tried the heated jacket or the vest out on the bike yet.

So much new gear is distracting. All of it is needed and appreciated but when I got suited up, with all of this it felt really awkward. The boots squeak and I move funny with the jacket and vest. Guess I'll just wear all this stuff around for a few days before I go riding and see if I can break it or me in.

Does anyone else ride with an ensemble of brand new stuff? How do you get used to it?

And I thought I was lucky with a pair of glove liners and a $100 gift card to the D-Store. :laughing

I'm gonna need a full report on that Aerostitch jacket! Merry Christmas!

Honestly, I am absolutely bowled over by all this stuff :wow

Agree about the mud riding! I think I'll break out the ATK since it bounces when it falls down.

The air vest is really cool, I got a few extra cylinders so I can horse around with it.

The boots are REALLY noisy.

Haven't figured out the jacket yet but do know I need to drop a bit more tonnage for it to be comfortable under the Stich.

Heather new gear or just a ton of layers i typically am pretty happy once i get moving...but THE first ride with my new hoots was crappy because i kept screwing up. :facepalm

Lucky you

Awesome stuff. Might take a little time to break it all in.
That means more riding!:p:teeth

Wow G, Santa was good to you! The air vest is cool and Hi Vis too. Heated gear is awesome. That jacket will turn a chilly ride into a toasty morning. Silicone spray might quiet down those boots. Now it is time to take them out and break them in.

Let's go for a ridey ride :ride

Congrats on all the new gear! I dont wear my air vest on the dirt bikes for obvious reasons! :laughing and it did take some getting used to on the street bike. At first I would ride off without attaching the teather. Now its just part of my pre ride check and I feel naked without it.

Heated gear is one of the most under rated items ever. I cant believe I went so long with out it. If its even in the 60's out I'll wear it just because. :laughing

Good haul, but too much? Nah, :party On!

OMG!!! The heated jacket :hail Life has changed as I know it! :banana :banana :banana

The gloves ate dreamy and allow the heated grips to do their thing.
The vest will take some adjustment here and there but I have it close to not noticing it.

I didn't wear my boots as they still need some breaking in.

:thumbup So good to hear, :thumbup

The boots will be sweet, with the sweetener you give them.

They provide the right protection, so .... grease (leather dressing) and if a tight-ish spot, stretch with a shaped block of wood, what-ever.

Everything in gear is sweet... Sometimes it's matching the particular item to the particular riding condition.

Have you not been paying attention to your elders? :teeth Us Olde Phartes :afm199 have been wearing heated gear (and singing its praises on high) for years.

Enjoy the warm.

Congrats on the new gear, G!!!

Once you go heated gear, you wonder why you didn't do it years before. :thumbup

That Sidi Squeak is a status thing.. Own it!

Let's ride!

it's a bit weird when you have all this new stuff on and you haven't gotten used to it yet. Also new gear is stiff and that's super weird feeling too after you've been riding in nicely "worn in" stuff for a while.

Those elkskin gloves look like the real deal Gwynne! By the looks of everything it appears you made out like a bandit! :thumbup

Saw your post on FB about the boots, they won't get any less squeaky over time. The only thing I found that quieted my Sidis was a day up at Brian Bartlow's.

I'm hoping next year I'll be getting some heated gear, new helmet and a R3. Not sure where I'm coming up with the $2,000+, but I'm hopeful.
