"James May" races against it in an Arial Atom V8...the V8 narrowly takes the BMW in the 2nd to last corner unfortunately though it was CRAZY seeing a car keep up with the bike and then pass it@
 
I'm downloading it now. You could have at least put spoiler in the tittle lol.
 
I've always thought Top Gear has gotten shittier and shittier since the Polar Special. But for some reason, I found last night's episode surprisingly entertaining and decently good. I think I would have been a little happier if Clarkson drove the Atom instead of May, but that's alright.

Maybe the show is actually getting better. Or maybe in comparison, TGUS is so shitty it makes TGUK look brilliant. Who knows.

Piss in the cheerios. Name me one show on television that you think is better produced, more entertaining, better looking, or better hosted.
 
I much prefer to see a bike post a proper time on that track. It'd be interesting.
 
I only watched the first half and will finish tonight.

They got Sienna Miller for a 0.5 second head shot coming out of the glove box? Who cares. I couldn't even tell it if was her or "generic blond woman".

Just because there may or may not be a more entertaining / better hosted show out there doesn't it stop the fact that TGUK has been going downhill. They've run out of ideas. It's as simple as that. There are only so many times I can watch them make an "amphibious" car, "race" some bicyclists, or set a caravan on fire. Hell, even the jokes are starting to become repetitive.

Don't get me wrong, it's still an entertaining show. It just isn't what it used to be. You can only be so creative when you're on your 16th season.

The Polar Special still remains as one of my favorite episodes. It was also the first time they recorded using HD cameras so everything looked spectacular. My other favorite episode was the Reliant Robin space shuttle challenge. :laughing That thing looked totally legit

The Top Gear Powerboard can only accept road-legal cars with four wheels.

However, the Atom posted a 1:15:XX and the bike came in about a second later.

That's true but they still have cars do laps (like the FXX) and note the time. They're not on the "official" time sheet but you can find their times easily enough.

We have no idea how hard the bike and car were being driven when they were sharing the track. I'd like to see the bike(s) do a clean lap on it's own.
 
why do I keep thinking the BMW S1k episode is not S16E01, but it is E02 (the next one), or something like that?

because S16E01 was "Christmas special - betlehem". Was there a mtoorcycle inside that I did not see?

but daym sienna miller is aight.. if she only didn't seem annoying in real life..

It's really too bad there aren't more bikes in the show. That would be a cool direction to take, since they've wrung out the cars so hard for so long. I have a hard time concentrating on it when there's no bikes involved.

Heh I loved that one bit... "THIS is what the Vincent Black Shadow was MADE FOR...... Continuous, heavy drizzle." :rofl We'd had a big weekend storm when I watched that episode, and I was standing there watching it in soaked draggin jeans.
