Yea, life can get in the way of non essential activities, no matter how fun they are.
I had not ridden in quite a while so I gave my beloved ST1100 away to another BARFer. After my wife died, I had planned on getting another bike, probably an FJ13000. But then I had a stroke and that put a permanent end to my riding.
I suggest you put your riding gear on a hanger near your bike along with everything else you need (boots, gloves, helmet, etc.) including a chair to sit on as you put your boots on. Then it will be as easy as possible to gear up and go for a ride.
And don’t forget a Battery Tender for your bike.
If you do these things, it will be much less work to gear up and go for a ride.
