I am surprised nobody has posted this link? I did not know it was a policy and if it is, whose decision was this and why if the reason was as given by the CHP to prevent more idiotic freeway stoppages how could such a policy actually contribute to that? Stealth and then radio to vehicles who would then block the protesters? As usual I haven't got a fucking clue, and can't wait for the clarification, seems a dangerous policy not well thought out.

Is that all you got? Seriously though, whose policy call was that? Also why does the CHP and not OPD carry out that mission? I have a lot of questions and look forward to more information.

That was a really bad idea for so many reasons and the outcome just illustrates this.

*facepalm*

Great job improving community relations by planting undercover cops (and possible instigators), CHP. :(

From what I've seen and heard today those two guys were following group of "protestors" in the unmarked car. They got out of the car to identify and apprehended one of the individuals that vandalized an electronic store and that when they were outed as cops. Then some dickhead assaulted one of the officers. Do, yeah, they were agents provocateurs. :rolleyes

It was posted, different article same event, in the police state thread, and discussed a bit there.

I believe that those two guys are totally behind the entire set of demonstrations that have been taking place. I read it on the Occupy website. They were responsible for three freeway blockages and beat up nine protesters who were trying to stop the violence. Also raped a grandma. Police provocation once again.

Link to the 'Occupy' website?

Maybe the chp are also sick of the police...:p

These guys were jumped by the "protestors" one of whom assaulted the officer on the ground while the rest of them advanced on them.

heh it's a free country, CHP has a right to protest :thumbup

If it was undercover, why not it's their job. These last of the stragglers made some physical and aggressive moves toward a couple of outed CHP.

Sorry the ignorance of the protests has gotten old. See a bunch of people upset about a made up story, just seems stupid.

What's the real story?

Berkeley, Oakland Protests:
Protesters Say Undercover Officers Tried To Incite Looting

The details as told by those in the protests, though, are disturbing. According to them, as the marches proceeded through Berkeley and Oakland, the two masked officers banged on windows and attempted to devolve protests into looting and rioting. Privacy SOS says that, according to protesters’ stories, some became suspicious and pulled one man’s mask off. The officer then pulled out his baton, and the other officer was punched in the face.

The 2nd officer on the ground still has his mask on.

If you're going to quote me at least answer the question and don't be so passive aggressive, it demeans your point of view and weakens your argument. So again, whose call was it for such a policy and why is it carried out by CHP not OPD? I am not reading anything about those details pertaining to the policy of undercover, lock and loaded, disguised as protesters all to keep the dumbasses who run to block the freeway from running to block the freeway. I'm waiting for more information.

Thanks bo, not sure which thread that was, if it's in the Leo forum I usually don't go there. The other threads related to the protests I only read the first few pages of a new thread if it devolves into accusations or lack of credible information. I got my link to this story from KTVU, not exactly a product of KPFA or Amy Goodman type of reporting, although I am a fan of hers full disclosure!

Surely if the CHP were trying to incite looting/rioting someone in the crowd would have video... Just like they have video of the arrest. So basically... Video or it didn't happen.

Not in the LEO Forum. In the huge police state thread in the politics subsection of the sink.
