here's the REALLY sad part: we all think that THESE are good gas prices.

it's still fucking too much for "cheap fuel", we just got brain washed into thinking that anything under $2.50@gal is a "good deal"

And just when people were starting to think about using less fossil fuel. They'll hang the bicycle back up, cancel the carpool, and get back in those big 'safe' vehicles they don't have the skill to operate.

I must admit, I've hung up my commute bicycle because it's a little cold in the morning and I'm not a big fan of trusting bicycle lighting on dark and busy streets. Flip side is I'm riding my moto every day now.

Some of the new LED based lighting is awesome! Pricey, but awesome! Still spooks me a bit having faith in early morning cagers seeing my lights on a bicycle. At least on the moto, I have some "get outta dodge" power that I don't have on the bicycle.

Yes, I need to pick up some better lighting...

I do have bike paths for most of my commute, which is a big plus. I get spoiled during the summer, when it's light far past when I usually leave work.

And I'm not hanging up my bicycle, fear not...although I do rock an incredibly nerdy flourescent-yellow hoodie and have lights all over the thing, because, well,
