So, they have come out with the dates for the 2027 race in Monterrey. My son and I are thinking of going and I am wondering a couple of things regarding the event.

Does it sell out fast? We are looking at doing Saturday and Sunday.

Where is the best place to stay that is close and a nicer hotel. I don't want to stay at a Motel 6 or anything like that, but I don't need to be at the Ritz Carlton either.

Being a cruiser rider how crazy is it to get in and out with all the sport bikers that I am sure attend?

I have been to the Drags at Sears Point and that is a mess for parking and all that. But I have never been to these races. My son started riding about a year ago and he really wants to go.

Any input or tips would be most appreciated.

WorldSBK, let alone MotoGP, never sold out at Laguna. MotoAmerica is very approachable and access to the paddock and top level teams is pretty great. You'll have no problem with tickets, parking, finding all the iconic viewing spots, and even eating and staying in Monterey. You two will have a great time without much hassle. Come on Friday if you want to get a lay of the land with few spectators. You sound like a top level planner like me, so I get it 🤓

Awesome. Thank you so much for the info. My son and I are going to ride out there from the SF Bay area so we will probably leave Friday Should be a fun weekend

Mr Bawden summed it up nicely.

Just to add Dino ,the executive level access where food and beverage are included at certain good viewing spots may sell out. If you were thinking of taking it in that way.

Also: Bring a hat, sun block, comfortable walking shoes and cash.

If you are riding then you should be covered for the possible weather extremes like:
Cold and Foggy, cold and Windy or hot as F. Laguna often cannot make up its mind there.
