It is interesting. Arguably saving American tax money (this is publicly funded, after all) is "patriotic," right? Never understood a nationalistic notion like this one, where the US Olympic team MUST wear US-made clothing. I wonder if other countries imported maybe US materials for their shit...omgomgomg!

what's more american than lowering costs to help the bottom line by outsourcing to china?

almost everything americans buy is manufactured overseas.
why? because americans like cheap products.
they don't care who makes it as long as they save some money.
ignore the people complaining about made-in-china and instead pay attention to where the money goes - china.

if americans really cared where stuff was made, you'd see a lot more made-in-america labels. but you don't. you see 'made in china'.

if the folks complaining had to pay for the uniforms the majority would do a 180, stop complaining and outsource to china. because there really is nothing more american than the love of money (capitalism > patriotism).
