I do retirement related things all the time for LAPRS and Dual Citizens who work for/have worked for the US federal government.

I will second the contacting senate or congress staff.

They will have a caseworker assigned to immigration caseload.

Most of these caseworkers have a "Fixer" so to speak within the agency/agencies they deal with. If there is any possible way to fix/stall/change the situation this is it.

This just disgusts me. It's sad that someone who actually serves this country would be deported for such a trivial reason.

The other government, however, might technically have an issue with it. Many governments do not permit their citizens to serve another country's government or enlist in another country's army. That being said, as has been said over and over again in this thread public policy often does not mesh with reality. The US government has this very policy but that doesn't seem to have resulted in any action against, as one example, the myriad American jews who run over to Israel and do their time in the IDF.

You are an awesome man for being willing to help!!! I don't have much... but I'm the daughter/sister of Marines, and both of them would disown me if I didn't step in to try to help! Please let me know what I can do, or who I can call... and I'm in for at least $25. It's not much... but it's a start.

How about local news stations? Exposure like that could get a lot of people involved including vets who don't know this is going on.
