So ideas on non-casino type activities.....
I'm almost thinking about making the 4 hour trip to the grand canyon....

and a super great restaurant to go to.....

TIA!

hookers!

You can dump the bodies on teh way to the grand canyon!

Go to Zion Canyon. It's closer than the Grand Canyon and is absolutely gorgeous.

But if you MUST go to the Grand, the North Rim is much prettier this time of year, and far less crowded.

i got a week so time to do everything...

there'll be all the typical night life stuff, gambling, drinking, strippers, etc...
but ive been kinda looking into the other stuff around vegas. I wanna do the hummer rides thru red rock

I'd look for a tour of the seedy underworld. Something that would show/tell some of the old mafia type spots/stories.

If you have time for a two-day excursion, go up to Bryce canyon and do some stargazing. 10,000 ft. elevation + more than 150 miles from the nearest city = amazing.

Go to the Gun Store and shoot all sorts of weapons. They charge by the magazine. 2 mags minimum per gun. They charge more of course for full auto but its fun.

Get married? :p

In that case...Amateur Night at the local strip club. You could earn your vacation $ back :laughing

yeah no one's gonna pay for this.

actually, this trip is sooo cheap. Air fare was free thanks to faggot ex for ruining everything but leaving me with cancelled plane tickets :)
and with military connections, the suite was only $300-ish for the whole week.

red rock = mountain biking
cowboy trails = mountain biking
bootleg canyon = mountain biking
a little farther off is gooseberry mesa = mountain biking

go mountain biking there....it is really pretty awesome

- Go have a meal at Lawry's.. its close to the strip
- Ride the roller coasters.
- Make a stop at the Planet Hollywood shopping mall and go to Fat Tuesday and order a 1080 Octane drink.. in a big cup!
- Visit the Ghost Bar at the palms for a spectacular view of vegas at night.. also the club at Rio.. voodoo lounge.. they have an outdoor club which faces the strip .. take a camera.
- I heard theres a zip line kind of experience that goes into vegas.. i gotta research that a bit
- Play some craps and bet on Hard 10 after 10 straight rolls if it hasnt shown up yet. I got lucky at Slots are Fun across the street from the Riviera.
- Rent a nice car.. there are sites out there if u want that experience.. you can drive down to hoover dam.. or the lake near by to enjoy your cruise.
- Stratusphere rides.. can you say.. "id like to get off now"
- If you there on a saturday.. you need to go to Rain at Palms Casino.. World renown DJ Paul Oakenfold plays there.. his residence is from Aug 08 until summer of 09.. (im going to check that out too)
- sign up for the guest list at whatever club you go to.. espcially if u go club hopping on thursday. This way the next day when its packed you can get in fast. We club hopped on a thursday.. we went to about 4 clubs that night.. aparently my buddy signed up to the guest list on all of them because we went back to ceasers the next night and it was packed.. easily about 1 hour wait to get in.. he asked for a guest list.. i didnt believe he was on it.. then they said.. "yah come on in" we got in right away.. great way to save time.

Freaken Frog(dive bar)- good booze & food
Peppermill Bar- nice fire side drinking (underage friendly:))
Depends on when you go, nice gun shows and cheap.
Plus the strip clubs.

Plenty of things to do, just need to know what your looking for. I go for booze, gun and women; that's just me.

I must add Paris buffet. 21 bucks and bomb ass seafood, crab legs and shrimp. The legs are all split too there there is really no work to it, and super fresh and tasty. Bellagio's buffet is basically clowned by it....it is really that good...and a better atmosphere as well

wow thanks. zip line would be awesome.

so what about super fabulous restaurants? its gonna be my :bday

L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon in the MGM FTW. Sit at the counter, and watch the chefs make your dinner au minute they chop and prep stuff for your dish right there - they don't get it out of some big prepared mise en place where it was cut/prepped yesterday.

Love or Ka also absolutely rock, $$$ though- live action movies, and sitting in the back center is much, much better than being up front.
