Vented vs. Perforated Boots

I got Sidi Canyons, which I wear 90% of the time (day and night), and a pair of Dainese Air's, which are perforated.

Maybe I got money coming out of my ears, but I rather be a little cooler when it is 90 degrees.

When the temps dip, I wear wool socks with my Sidi's, and in the spring temps, cotton.

Never had an issue with overheating in my unvented calf high riding boots. Even on 105+ degree days or 20+ hours straight without taking them off. But, it is not humid here, so that might change things.

Vents / Perforated Boots suck in the winter, i ride to work (1.5hrs of seat time 1 way) and if it's raining i have waterlogged socks all day :thumbdown:thumbdown....

I started with a pair of waterproof SIDI's and they worked fine. Warm in summer, but fairly livable.
But the following year I bought a set of basically the same boot, vented. I can feel the difference, and I enjoy the benefit of each type.

I just got a pair of A* SMXs and the venting feel so good on the feets. Previous boots were touring boots with no venting and never felt it was an issue... but I like the cool air through the feets. If I'm riding in the rain I'll probably put the touring boots on though.
