Holy God,
So I switched from this piece of shit company a month or so ago. Now I can't pay my last bill.

They won;t send me a paper bill and I can't log in to their website to pay online BECAUSE MY PHONE NUMBER DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE WITH THEM.

I can't even send them a question without logging in and the customer service number they have is wrong.

So fuck you Verizon. Fuck you right in the ass. I would just ignore it, but despite their literally being no way to pay this bill unless I walk in t their shitty fucking store and do it in person which likely won;t work work either, I'll get hit with a collections.

Die Verizon. Everyone that works for you. Die. All of you. Event he asshole "hear me now?"guy that doesn't work for you anymore because he was smart too and switched fom your horrible asshole worthless money-grubbing service.

The last paragraph was added for dramatic effect.

Who do you have now :rofl

Google Fi, Pixel 2.

I went away from the apple garbage. So far I have been real happy. Bill went from 100 a month to 80 last month (including a new phone on the payment plan BS) and this month my bill will likely be about 60 bucks (they only charge you for what you use at 10 bucks a gig, plus the plan fee (35 bucks or whatever). No BS like Verizon.

Fuck verizon.

I like Google fi, too.

+1 Fi

No unlimited data option but awesome in most other respects. My fave is the no-problem, no-charges, it just works like normal when international roaming.

And you still get some access to the Verizon's coverage almost everywhere network via the US Cellular network. As you already probably know Fi connects to either Tmobile, Sprint or US Cellular networks as needed. US Cellular is partnered with Verizon for extra coverage. If it doesn't automatically connect you can push the phone to US Cellular which will use Verizon. You don't get provisioned full LTE speeds but you do get a signal and EVDO connection.

When international roaming unlimited texting is free. Voice calls are $0.20/min. If I want to make outbound calls or my phone rings I won't answer then callback using Google Hangouts Dialer (VOIP) for free.

I paid for my Nexus 6P phone up-front so my bills usually run $50/month.

Project Fi is awesome. I don't use my phone for data all that often, and 90% of when I do there's WiFi available, so monthly I usually only use 1-2 GB. I think in the 2.5 years I've had Fi I've only seen a bill more than ~ $45 after taxes and fees two or three times.

When people bitch about their $200 cell phone bills, and I tell them I'm paying 20% of that monthly, they gawk. Cell phone companies have people bent the fuck over, and don't even have the courtesy to use lube.

Couldn't be happier.

How do you push it to US cellular?

*#*#34866#*#* — Switches to T-Mobile

*#*#34777#*#* — Switches to Sprint

*#*#34872#*#* — Switches to USCC (US Cellular).

*#*#346398#*#* — Switches to the next best carrier automatically

Or you can download an app like Fi Switch to paste these dialer codes this for you. Added bonus of Fi Switch is you can put a widget on your home screen that also shows you the current network status/info.

That's what I will have to do. Not a convenience for me. And I shouldn't have to bend over backwards to pay my last bill.

But how else will they tell you about their newest un***limited plan?

*** only applies to data used on their affiliated apps and sites, between hours of 147 AM and 213 AM, on the fourth day of every seventh month of the year. Leap years excluded. Extra fees and charges may (read: will) apply.

I can't wait to switch to Google Fi. After having Sprint and their employees lie straight to our face I am so done with them.

Some limitations on phones that will work on Fi.

Nexus 5x, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel2, Motorola X4. The current flagship Pixel phones are pricey in the $600+ range.

The Moto X4 is the best budget midrange new phone option compatible with Fi, only $324 from Motorola.

Only reason I am staying with Verizon is because I have grand fathered unlimited plan and it's my only source of internet. So I don't have to deal with Comcast. Basically your pick your poison situation.

Surely they will mail you a bill. If anything is in dispute, mail them a notice of that and as I recall they are not allowed to send you to collections until that is resolved. IANAL.

Love my Nexus 5x. Paid $250 for it brand new, and it worked flawlessly for me for almost 2 years, when it suddenly wouldn't turn on anymore. No bootloop, nothing. Tried charging it, nothing. Contacted Google support for troubleshooting advice, and they sent me a refurbished phone, free of charge, even though I didn't have insurance and was almost a full year out of warranty. I'd also point out that at no point did I ever expect, or even ask, for another phone. They offered to send me a new device entirely on their own!

Google customer support: :thumbup

I swore I'd never buy another Moto product, after I went through 4 Droid 3's in under a year. The last one was sent to me a few days before the warranty expired, and died on me only days later. Moto refused to offer any kind of support because I purchased the first phone more than a year ago, so the original warranty period was over. Wouldn't help me out at all, even though their refurbished device didn't even last a week.

Motorola customer support. :thumbdown

I don't understand why anyone would finish their post with IANAL. Oh sure, I know what ti stands for but come on.

I had that POS service before too and went through the same problem with a final bill.

Just take an old bill and call them. Get the names if the people you speak to and tell them you are documenting the info.

They will use your old cust ID to create an account so that you can pay the final bill.

Todays great service is tomorrows POS service, Google FI included. Sooner of later they jist take turns being bad.

It just takes some perserverence and shouldn't be necessary but as you said, collections is their heavy hand. Documenting your contacts and letting them know you're doing it goes a long way to getting cooperation.

Be firm but keep at them and in the end, they might even waive the final bill, just escalate escalate and each time in the discussion identify by name or employee ID just who you spoke to previously.

It works.
