^^^ :laughing It's my Job, Guardian Angels have seen to it that what should of killed me (repeatedly) didn't, So I can be here, in full Yap Mode. :thumbup

Yap on for many more Lou.

More yapping...less fapping. Ride more than yap and life is good.

who determines veteran status? I am always curious as there appears to be different opinions on this....

The one thing that saddens me is the oft perceived assumption that new to BARF = new to motorcycles. Sadly, some tremendous resources are swallowed up and spit out before any of us have an opportunity to benefit from their presence.

(sort of talking 'bout you worm fuck dude)

My gift to the new riders on barf:

In summary if you are jewish don't wear beanie helmets on redwood road because cops on ninja 250's are subconsciously looking for people with ear plugs so they don't have to listen to vets telling them they suck at riding.

You are welcome :x

Sadly, it is more often than not, a self inflicted condition.

I'm assuming it's also reinforced by:

This is the title that appears beneath your name on your posts. Check the 'Reset' box if you wish to use the default title for your usergroup and post count.

Your current user title is
Veteran

:twofinger

Not really, since that makes you one too. Then, the argument could no longer be made that vets are picking on you because you are a n00b, since you are one as well. "Officially," if you've been here 30 days, you're a vet, but that's not rally what we're talking about here now, is it?.

Some "vets" have told me to use more smileys when joking... but I don't listen :cry

By the way, just to clarify, they don't pick on me... :laughing

I've just seen it happen to me and others where status plays a part, but as others have said, it's not entirely their fault. Being a newbie and posting often didn't/doesn't help my case, but I thought being an active member would be better than being a silent one. Guess there's a balance there, I just need to find it.

If I said who cares about what one's status on BARF is because what is really important is how you relate to everyone here I'd be missing the point of veteran, og, newbie and such. Does the title matter? Time on BARF, years of riding experience? Gender....? None of it should imho.

my title says veteran because I keep forgetting how to add different words in that space under my avatar. When I figure it out again what should I put there in order to adequately reflect my position on this topic?

I think to adequately reflect what you said above, you should change it to veteran.

I figured I would remind some of our seasoned veteran members ...... Thank you. :teeth

I was 5 when I started riding, and I remember being excited more than anything so no the Q1 and Q2. I do not spend much time in General as for me there are other sub forums on Barf where any message needing to be given can be done so in a more constructive manner.

What tires should I get.... The Garage.

Should I take a track day... Racers corner

I hit an oil patch/sunlight in my eyes/deer in the road/new tires/etc... Crash Analysis

What bike should I start on... Dirty Barfing as the only correct answer is a dirt bike.

If you are or were offended by the original post than you are most likely exactly who Bud was referring to, time to check your own behavior.

Whomever started that "Entitlements" thread Bap referenced is a genius and one should never argue with him :twofinger

just to let you bastids know:

yes, i AM all that....

so don't forget it....
