Victory, Does Anybody Have One?

You could also buy a diamond for that much and its even less useful than a Victory.
Utility has nothing to do with buying stuff.

No I totally agree and I wasn't asking about utility. I was asking about value. Are they just overcharging because they feel people will feel they're getting value for buying $15,000 cruisers, or are they better made than the average Japanese motorcycle? More reliable? Faster?

Granted there are those paying $50,000 for a Morgan 3 wheeler with 100 /HP over a $50,000 sports car with the latest technology, but it's not like there are many 3 wheeled car makers and there are TONS of motorcycle companies.

Is a Victory that much better than the equivalent Yamaha at vastly lower price?

As far as power cruisers are concerned have you priced the v max lately. I'm sure it's a lot more than a Victory Hammer.

Actually I saw it in the shop the other day, it was around $15k so a little less but you're right....once you hit the big cruisers they're pricey across the Big 4.

Fuck what anyone else thinks. If it makes your dick hard, go with it. We don't ride motorcycles because we listen to our brains. It's all about what lights your fire.

You Sir are a motorcycle enthusiast. :thumbup

They're big bikes if you can handle them. I was real impressed by them all but the weight. Not a great twisty bike but there is nothing like stuffing a 1000lbs of bike into a turn and it handles it quite well.

I have been on a lot of bikes and I would put the Vic in the top ten. I would say #1 for a flatland cruiser.

Btw the kingpin with me suited at 250lbs will run 11.86 all day long in the quarter.

the Judge has the same "power cruiser" engine, and 6 speed tranny (actually, they all use the 106 CI engine and 6 speed trans), so it comes down to suspension and styling. I like the judge, and at MSRP 13500$, you cant beat it. Im looking to pick one up when they hit CA

Thats a lot cheeper than a Harley Dina, I would love to see and ride one in person.:ride

They were having test rides awhile back at Arlen Ness but I missed it. Maybe next time.:ride
You can get Victory test rides at Arlen Ness even when it isn't a special test ride day. I've done it there.

Just drop in and ask if there are any Victory motorcycles that you can test ride. It's worth visiting their showroom anyway, just to see all of the custom bikes upstairs.

I'll have to do that. I have been there and looked around at the chopper museum. Arlen Ness does some weird stuff yo.:cool

After reading this thread, I note that no one actually owns a Victory:laughing.

This is a nice looking Victory. (gotta love the atgatt)

I like the bikes. I'm nowhere near able to afford one.

You kinda have to like the "swoopy" style of cruiser to like them. The tanks all have that look, not really a lot of hard angles on the bikes.

If I were able, I'd have several of em. Crossroads, Kingpin, and Hammer 8 Ball
