Road Rash on Sega Genesis FTW! It will train you to lean your bike into your punches.

Tourist Trophy is supposed to be one of the best riding simulators, and it has sears pt!

Straight up for the PS2 TT sucks... When you tip the bike in too hard... you tuck the front... On Moto GP 2-3 it is pretty realistic as far as a bike... you can late brake and slide the bike. Does not have all the great tracks... I think Moto GP 4 has laguna... Show you the driection of the tracks and such but not really training... Cuz at Laguna I do a 1:34 on a real bike but on the game I and can do even better... I am thinking about sneaking in my VG times for AMA qualifying...![]()
i didnt read any replies to say one thing...... TOURIST TROPHY for ps2 is the sickest... great bikes... realistic physics and im just waiting for polyphony to come out with a sequel.... that alone is enough to hold onto my ps3........ i just love riding on TT figuring out all the different bikes........ seeing how they react to different rider positions and basically pushing the virtual envelope..... AND ITS GOT MOTARD RIDING STYLE......
i don't quite understand how TT can be considered a good simulation if the physics "when leaned over aren't quite accurate". that's about the only time it matters for a bike!
TT is a great game for posing, taking staged pics of all the sweet replica bikes and for having Sears Point. but they really got the physics wrong. being able to comparison ride such a wide variety is cool too. hopefully they'll do better with TT2 on the PS3 if it ever happens.
like craig, what i enjoyed about racing namco's versions 2 and 3, was that when all the rider aids are turned off, the racing really feels like racing. front end slides that are recoverable, spinning up the rear to square off corners, draft passing, block passing, having to climb the ladder up to better teams over multiple seasons, etc. it won't however, give you a great, first person simulation of track riding. the car games do that way better.
like i said before and as others have also mentioned, the bike games simply aren't getting enough development money compared to the car versions. hopefully they'll get closer with more releases, but the market just isn't big enough for them at this time.
the console racing sims are still way behind in terms of authenticity compared with previous PC titles, but those are even more on the endangered species list

Take Moto Gp and put the simulation so the bike slide's and it is really realistic...
