no you're supposed to speed up and block them from changing lanes /sIf someone has their blinker on, you don't try to pass them. You hang back and wait to see what they do.
It's common sense.

Ok well, this is what popped up on Google.Incorrect. So many people get this wrong.
California law does not put a limit on the delta or the speed you can share the lane either. It does reflect the max speed of the road. An officer can pull you for speed if they think it is excessive and dangerous.
Even the CHP tips do not have speeds noted other than faster is more dangerous.
The limits do not exist. I see some riders respecting speeds involved and making good judgements. Hardly ~hardly.
Agreed there.
I think our guidelines are better than what the State threw out by a mile.
I'm the alpha, you're the beta.no you're supposed to speed up and block them from changing lanes /s

Wow.Ok well, this is what popped up on Google.
Can’t always trust the internet.

Wow. I am shocked. Being a law is pretty black and white. I got this on an ask for the vehicle code section for lanesplitting.
Meh...what do you know?Incorrect. So many people get this wrong.

I don't think having a signal on means you can just change lanes without making sure it's safe to do so.
Also, just because someone is signaling, doesn't require you to slow down to let them in...
Driver's fault.
In boating, the vessel that is least manuevarble has the right of way. And on that same line, sail has the right of way over power.However.... riders who test this theory often are forcibly dis-mounted and suffer the consequences of being getting hit by following vehicles, which means at the very least they may not arrive at their destination.
Being right doesn't make you any less dead.I don't think having a signal on means you can just change lanes without making sure it's safe to do so.
