Well, not really...

It’s been almost two months since Volkswagen bought a 20% stake in Suzuki (I didn't know that!) Motor Corporation, but that hasn’t stopped German designer Nils Poschwatta from imagining what the peoples’ motorcycle would look like.

Much fervor was made with the announcement of the two companies joining forces, with many motorcycle fans wishing thinking that VW branded motorcycles were on their way. Like this concept, that notion is a work of pure fantacy, as the two companies have made it clear the partial acquisition is to help both brands enter into emerging car markets more effectively. Still, it’s a nice drawing.

No pictures but.....

in the early seventies an adaptive bell housing was made and sold that would mate a four cylinder VW block to an air-head BMW transmission, converting the bike to a torque monster flat four bahn burner. (Not to be confused with the Amazonas Brazilian bike powered by a Vdub mill.)

Think air cooled Gold Wing and you've got the concept. Drum brakes made for nightmare wet rides and the skinny tires of the times got toasted in a thousand miles.

That concept is.. pretty freakin sick though.

It will be a bike with a lot of electrical issues just like their cars. Ill stick for BMW for German engineering.....:twofinger
