i'd let him ride the bike, too. the alternative is being stuck in a car with him. :laughing

although he seems to be integrating with the group and isn't as big (or just not as overt) a racist prick as his brother (who is still alive and out there) i still think the group is keeping their distance from him.

incidentally, i like the actor who plays Merl, i hope he shows up again later. those brothers are the most interesting, if not likable, characters so far.

i am ambivalent about the 'child lost in the woods' angle. i'm not invested enough in the mom character to care about her suffering and they haven't shown the girl suffering at all. and this is despite the fact that i'm intimately familiar with the unpleasantness of spending a few nights in the woods with no food or shelter.

i really rolled my eyes when the other one got shot. by a guy who works for a doctor. who can do surgery on him and save his life. out of aaaallllll the pockets of survivors in the world.... too much on the soap opera side of drama for my tastes. also, how about that retarded escape plan by Shane and Otis after they got the surgery supplies? lol. no. not so much.

they're all fucking idiots for not arming everyone. the mildly attractive blonde should get her gun back, even if she just 'checks out'. i'd rather find out that's her goal while nothing else is going on than in the middle of some shit where she gets other people killed, too.

i'd like to see the actors losing more weight and becoming more gaunt and weak. have them show how badly undernourishment is affecting them.... maybe not Castaway level gaunt but still. i guess they can't do that because the brunette mom can't get much thinner without actually having real life health problems.
 
why would they be malnourished? there's food in every home they are passing. canned goods, bottled water. this thing only seems a few weeks/months into itself so there's got to be food

no excuse for not all being armed either, or for hanging onto that dumpy ass rv when bigger, better transportation is there for the taking.

Anyone else getting tired of Lori's character? I really dislike the actress that plays her (Sarah Wayne Callies). She was annoying in Prison Break, and just as annoying in the Walking Dead.

If that is the only option then shoot yourself not the guy who just saved your life! That was awful!

I don't like her either, she has no personality. I don't like the whole suicidal tendencies on the blond either, suck it up and be productive to the team already. But I liked Shane and now he is a bad guy :cry That is so not cool and no way to make it right :(

At least the Asian and Redneck are still alive.:love

Agree with a lot of what Stigeon said. I'm really having to stretch out my usual leeway for suspending beliefs with this particular show's genre.

I find myself saying, OK that was stupid, a lot. It's gettting really hard to rally around a bunch of dumbfucks.

So they had what, about a dozen or so rounds a piece to go fetch meds in a zombie infested region? Rifle with a scope? Shit, Bring a scatter gun with 50 rounds and a side arm with 4 or 5 reload clips at the least, per person. They have ammo.

Their foraging skills suck ass too.

They are city slickers, the redneck carries them. Ya kinda expect more from cops but still, city cops. City slickers don't know how to forage. It isn't like they can go into towns now is it, they tried that and nearly got eaten :laughing

I liked Shane, thought he got a raw deal and now he is bad juju. I liked crazy eyed Otis and to betray him liked that sucked :(

At least they got a doc now, sort of.

So what would yall do? Can't go into the cities. Maybe raid a small town gun shop but even then you have zombie hordes. Look at the sheriffs home town.

So in their situation where cities and towns are not safe what would you do?
 
funny that the zombies haven't found the farm yet, even though lights are blazing at all hours and they still have livestock. no one has posted a guard either. walkers are everywhere else, in the middle of flipping woods but NOT the farm?

Otis had it coming. I would have shot him myself back int he woods with his own rifle. lousy plan to go for the supplies. sheesh- couldn't come up with anything better than distract them with flares and oh gee, what now?

how long has it been anyway since ZD1? how long can these things continue to exist before they just kinda disintegrate?
 
The asian guy behaves exactly what I think an asian guy will behave if a real zombie apocalypse existed.
