Warriors 16-17 Season

They cut Briante Weber right after the game.

Talks are they plan to sign Jose Calderon (point guard) after his buyout from Lakers.

Curry, Calder, Ian Clark, McCaw would be the point guards. Maybe they worry about teams beating them with a 3pt shot and want a quick defender.

I think getting Bogut would be good.

Bogut is not in the plans for the Warriors. Kerr said yesterday in his post game interview saying they are acquiring another PG. He also said before that they don't want to have too many bigs in the roster.

Curry sneaks in and helps a chick win 5 grand

Is there something behind the yellow bin that says $2500 on it ? Didn't see a $5k bin.

I was intrigued by Weber. I heard this am that Kerr likes him and its a possibility he could be back next season. Ya had to love how hard he cheered and wanted to be a part of the team....

I actually wished Kerr would have sent him in earlier against the Nets. His speed and ball stealing are his assets. I'm not sure he's good at shootin though. And even last night, they needed speed. I really enjoy the young, hungry teams, they put up a good fight.

Yea, that was definitely lame.

Hyperextended, but it didn't look terrible? I mean he was kinda limping on it, but can you walk on something that's partly torn?

Bogut to the Cavs it seems.

That's a solid 10 mins of defense/production every game right there. I think that's a really good pickup for the cavs (or any team)

Just read, in the wake of KD's injury and the Warriors not knowing it's severity, they are going to sign and then release/wave Jose Calderon in order to sign Matt Barnes.

Interesting move. I can see he and Draymond getting along and doing well defensively. Hope this Barnes can hit more open 3's than the other Barnes.

Well that sucks, but it definitely could have been worse. At least 4 weeks, but he will probably make it back in time for the playoffs.

Edit: Well, apparently class 2 is a partial tear of the MCL.. So that 4 week re-evaluation may be just that... See how he's doing, and determine if he's returning or not. I doubt he's going to be 100% either way.

Recovery
Expected recovery usually occurs in 3 weeks to 3 months, depending on the severity of the injury, although lingering minor stiffness and soreness for six months is not uncommon.

Well he's flying to Germany now to get that blood spinning like Kobe, at least I hope he is.

Curry got that blood spinning done during the playoffs last year BUT he did it in the states which I guess is different. They spin the blood for less time than they do in Germany.

Hope he comes back healthy. Ian Clark and McCaw gotta step up. Cant have Curry taking all these minutes.

And that's the hard part which helped sink the Cavs in GSW vs CLE Part 1. You must aggressively work to keep the minutes down, otherwise you pay for it in the long run. Right now, CLE bench is looking.... really, really good. Possibly the deepest two lines in the NBA right now.

every sprain is a partial tear.

honestly it could have been much, much worse.

This hopefully minor scare and Steph's ankles and knee from last year, not to mention his total flip and landing on his head against the Rockets during the championship year has me thinking how amazingly lucky Lebron has been his entire career. I can't recall anything significant injury wise for him.

He did miss I think 2 weeks while on the Heat and many suspected he was getting weird treatment for an undisclosed injury. But aside from that, he hasn't have a big injury at all.

Most stars have I can think of. Kobe did. Shaq did. Granted, Shaq often skated during the season, missing 15-20 games and turning it on during the playoffs.

A similar injury to LBJ would throw the playoffs into a blender, probably end up being another Celtics/Rockets finals.... :laughing
