To listen to pros talk about the game it seems like the last three minutes were a failure of both coaching and players' decision-making by the Cavs. I came home sick today and watched the NBA channel and such as they dissected those last few minutes.
This leads me to postulate that maybe the Cavs have just not been challenged enough this year in the Eastern conference. They weren't able to keep up with Warriors and yes, the Dubs have firepower but they also are in the harder conference. If you have been in third gear all year, fourth is unfamiliar. They got so winded in the fourth. Are the Dubs that much younger? It seems like the Cavs should have had that game, and I'm a Dubs fan.
I think Lue might get fired after this. His answers in the press conf afterwards didn't help. He didn't seem to be able to recall what happened in those three minutes. WTF??? And I dunno about Korver's future. It seems crazy to hire a guy just for his shooting a certain shot but not a good defender. The standard set by the Dubs is that the shooters do both.
I can see people feeling like we got a dynasty here but each year, they get older and there always will be faster younger guys comin in. I'm all for developing McCaw and McAdoo and Jones, whatever to prepare for that.
I was really struck by the fact that while LeBron played almost 46 minutes, we had McCaw, Clarke in there against them...
