Have you tried making venison to scare them away?

I have a squirrel problem. It's insane. I walked out and 4 squirrels were seen in the air jumping off the eve.

You moved into and took over their home and displaced them. Deal with it. Learn how to co-exist.

Fucking humans, displacing and destroying everything. We are the virus.

We have brokered a deal; they don’t shit in the yard and I share the apple tree with them. I even share the fig tree in the front…

LoL

And they're going to steal my only tomatoe...

I know it's because the acorns went crazy the past couple years...

I have a serious wood rat (pack rat) problem. One continues to try to nest on top of my truck engine and chewing up stuff in the process. I can't start the engine until I've spent 20 min. trying to clean out the tree bark, sticks, hood insulation and misc. crap stuffed into tight places. A major PITA!
I've tried traps baited with peanut butter or cheese, scraps of meat and they remain untouched A freind gave me these rodent chasers that have strobes and hi. Hz sound and it just builds the next an inch away, smart bastard! It sucks being outsmarted by a damn rat! A few years ago a mouse stuff my turbo with acorns and chewed all kinds of parts, $2300 in damages. If I squirt peppermint oil all over my engine every other day that seems to work but hard for me to cope with as well.
Any ideas what might work?

there are these little bait logs that you have to illegally import into this state, but I wired some under the hood after they chewed through some transmission wires that disabled the vehicle, and the nesting stopped, but you're going to want to do that before they chew through wires...

and you can also try the baking soda and Pillsbury pancake mix, equal parts

Using rat poison has a known, negative effect on the food chain that eat the poisoned rats. Owls, for example.

Get an Owltra electric trap. Bait with sunflowe seeds. A few at the entrance and some sprinkled inside. Best rat trap I've ever used plus humane and non toxic.

Wild rats in Az are a problem around Tuscan, much that you are having.
Rv ers, had to learn, ask locally what works.
The fix was rope lighting, the rats don't like illumination.
Things like dryer sheets, the smell repels, may work.
Plugging holes with steel wool, won't chew thru that.

Ordered the Qwltra and hope they like sunflower seeds more than peanut butter and cheese that they won't touch. The strobe doesn't work, I think they dance under the disco light.

I have tried a deer fence, motion detector sprinklers, smelly lures with electric shockers for their noses and other non lethal persuaders...
Some years ago I accepted them eating the fruit and now share.
