anyone in for helping me start a weekly indoor karting event?

perhaps if we get enough weight we can even negotiate price

Do you have a place in mind? If so, how good are their carts? I always lose at these things at Great America because no matter how perfect my lines are, I have a lot more weight to push than the average 9 year old driving those things :(

Well off the top of my head and around the bay there are:
LeMans Karting Center in Fremont
www.lemanskarting.com
Go Kart Racer in Burlingame
www.gokartracer.com

and supposedly Speedring in Sunnyvale

I tried Go Kart Racer in Burlingame. I like the track but i swear my cart was a few too many accidents.

Indoor karting places aren't like great america or putt putt bull shit they are pretty fast and pretty fun

If you want to organize a group at Lemans, talk to Dean sanders and tell them dan from speedring sent ya

Hey Dan...thanks for the info

let's get something going, it'll be fun guys....keeps your skills sharp for the track and your mind focused!!!

Or ask the place when their least-busiest evenings are for better chances at a discount. ;)

I've been to Lemans Karting in Fremont. It's pretty cool but I would suggest calling ahead to make reservations. I think I paid $60 plus $10 for your one time license.

Hit up LeMans. I worked there for almost 2 years back when they first opened up. Dean is a good guy too...tell em Falvey sent you as well..he should take care of you.:thumbup

This sounds like a blast! If I have the free time, I'm definitely in!

i just shot off an email to dean

i'll keep you guys posted.

as a preliminary estimate

can i get an "aye" response if you are in?

been to lemans quite a few times, my dads friend was sponsered by them for a while. Saturday nights they have their racing leagues. best bet is to go during a weeknight. Or I think they have a lunch special as well. Keep us posted as this sounds like a great idea:thumbup

Hey I am interested as well. I've been to LK a few times and alot more in GKR.

I was bummed when SR shut down, I live like 5 mins. away from it. :(

My buddy who weighs 70lb more than me can beat me almost every time. Skill is just as important as weight :p

If you guy's decide to head over to GKR, count me in. the wife got me some pass's for my birthday :thumbup
