I'm thinking that's a fantastic idea, but also make sure to revise it periodically. Currently trying to deal with updating my parents' will/trust that was implemented 20 years ago and many circumstances have changed since them.
 
I think about this often. I have no blood relatives left and I forgot to have kids at this time so I want to leave it all to A Chihuahua rescue group.
 
I think our banker Kevin gave me great advice regarding trusts.
I also think there is a lot of kindness around in these harsh times.
 
Regarding trusts, I'm gonna be dead. The beneficiary benefits. Shouldn't they pay for the trust to be drawn up and submitted to the county.

Yeah, I lost that battle. Mostly because I was only half serious. Just say'n.

But it is like those advertisements that attempt to guilt some grandma to pay a monthly fee to insure her own burial arrangements. Sheesh.

Dear Grandma, put that proposed monthly payment into a Roth-IRA account instead. If you it doesn't mature to cover your demise, don't worry, you're dead. ;)
 
Understand that you make me nuts! Two filthy muddy dogs inside without so much of a wipe down. That said baby you light my fire.

My mother used a trust, made my bat-shit crazy sister the trustee. (Mothers/daughters, you know?)

It took the retention of an attorney to set things right.

Please pay attention to whom you choose to be trustee, it gets real important after you pass.

i’m thinking i just have the one kiddo and he gets most everything.
