Just finished watching a 2005 LeMans 250 race. Great racing. Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Stoner, dePuniet, Dovizioso all in it, all on competitive machines. Fun fun fun. Watching these makes winter shorter.

Edwards vs. Bayliss at Imola, 2002.

I'm sure there is a better video, but here's one showing the action. http://www.streetfire.net/video/2002-imola-baylissedwards-no-sound-motorcycle-ra_875.htm

It has no sound, but the other ones that I've found have their own music added, so pick your favorite song and crank it up while watching this one to get the same effect, but probably better music.

There's one out there somewhere with the announcers that is better.

While I was very disappointed with the out come, I was going to say the battle of Hasting, but I would choose your submission of the Italian campaign as a close second.

The Assen superbike race where Haga and Bayless were going at it hammer and tongs. Then near the end David Brivio slaps a marshall in the face. Awesome race. I talked to him about that when he was last at Laguna. He chuckled when I mentioned the incident.

How about some 600, 250, or 125 races?

John "the beverly hills poof" Kocinski, vs. Carl "fuck you up your stupid ass americans" Fogerty at Laguna Seca. Can't remember if it was 96 or 97, but John slid his bike down the corkscrew and took the win.......when the replay came up on the jumbo screen, there was just this collective whoa from the grand stands, classic.

:thumbup Colin was a true champion that year. He didnt have to win the race to win the championship... but clearly didnt want to take second. Bayliss attempting to slow the pace so his teammate Xaus could get in the mix. The last two laps with Colin and Bayliss swapping the lead. The corner, I forget the name, where they are literally almost jumping from curb to curb. Best road race I ever watched.

Supercross.... i'd have to say Rick Johnson vs David Bailey at Annaheim. I heard stories about Hannah vs Howerton but never seen any clips. Magoo at the USGP or MxDeNations.

Me and another fellow at Buttonwillow in 2001. A full half hour of sucking on his rear, then a last corner pass for the win! You should have been there!
