...already a thread for this someplace on here...so I'll simply say not that many as I hold onto my bikes at least 5-10 years typically:

My most notable/memorable bikes are:

1981 Suzuki RM 80 (first bike)

1978 RD400 - my first roadracing bike

1986 Cagiva Elefant 650 (The bike that saw 12 countries and over 240K miles of my riding experience)

Duc 851 and 888 - thrashed them on track

2008 990 Superduke - one of my favorite street bikes out of the 20+ that I've owned. Only had it for 25K miles before I sold it, but they were FUN miles.

2010 690 Enduro R - I love this bike, and can't see myself ever selling it. The perfect adventure bike for just about every kind of trip.

2000 KDX 200 - the ultimate woods bike. I sold this bike once and bought it back a year later. This one will be in the stable for a long time.

2015 FJ-09 - My new street sled. So far, I am absolutely loving this bike.

My list starts in 1962.

Puch 35cc scooter unknown provenance but my mom was pissed when I got it running - my mom gave it away to save my 7yr old life

Kawasaki Concours ZG1000 (x 5 of the beasts over the course of 500k miles in 10 years) sold the last one for more than I paid for the last 3 combined
Triumph Thruxton with 1015cc kit - stupidly sold
Triumph Tiger 885 with (1045cc Daytona R motor) - also stupidly sold
Honda CB500f Cafe' - gifted to a good friend
Triumph Tiger 955i - a quick flip -sold
Honda VF750R (#13 ever sold in the USofA) - my first show quality collector bike - sold
Yamaha FJR1300 - sold
Kawasaki 550 Cafe' - sold back to the woman who sold me the original burned hulk after I built it and she fell back in love with it
Honda VF1100s (V65 Sabre) - sleeps in my garage

The purchase / acquisition order gets a little scrambled, so I listed them in sales or "disposal" order. I don't think I missed too many.

For awhile in the mid to late 2000's I was flipping multiple new and used motorcycles weekly, I don't think most of those ever were ridden by me, so in my opinion they don't count.

I shouldn't have sold the Thruxton or the Tiger 885. I'm grateful for the survival lessons I was taught by the Kwak A7 and Mach III. I'll be forever grateful for the thousands and thousands of memorable miles I rode on the big sport-touring bikes. Ask me about the 'bull in the field' story sometime.

I keep a list in my sig to keep track of bikes on bike forums and cars on car forums, but it looks more impressive listed vertically for sure!:cool. Really like the idea of creating a pic list of the vehicles in total to display on a wall or in my garage, gonna have to dig through my files for that!

Obviously I have kept small and two stroke for the most part and have had as many as eight at one time and started riding in 1990 (I started young :)
