A near death experience last night on my motorcycle got me to thinking... What would I want in my RIP thread?

We've had a lot of arguments about what is appropriate to post when a rider passes away. Perhaps it would be better to ask what we would consider appropriate, if we were that person?

For me:
I would hope the people who knew me would tell the world what kind of a man I was in person, and say something about my values. I hope people would share personal anecdotes, even if they might be a little embarrassing. The more humorous or outrageous the better. :laughing

I hope people will analyze the crash that kills me (in a separate thread,) and I hope that everyone can learn something from it. At the same time, please remind anyone who makes a disparaging remark that mistakes are very human, and that we all make them.

A piece of art or poetry commissioned in my honor would be touching.

So, now I'm curious... What would you want in your RIP thread? :rose

In the far flung future, naps will be obsoleted. We will take them in pill form.

well it took a while but that dam motorsickle finally got him!

I wouldn't want a rip thread. But I wouldn't care what happened after I died, literally. There would be no way of actually knowing what happened, so to me the question is pointless since I won't be alive to see it or be any part of it

this is just my opinion on this whole part of the forum, but theres to much negative goin on in here. Everyday its an RIP or something, I know theres dangers with riding but I dont think it needs to be brought up everyday with a new thread, seems like a lot people try to scare others more then encourage

We already know people die, and that it is dangerous. I don't let it get to my head though. Just ride smart and expect the unexpected

Yet you know the danger and the mortality is real. I'd say it's better to get this out in the open rather than it be some thing that ppl would just rather sweep under the rug.

Maybe we should have like a living will section in all our profiles :nerd
