What grammar / style mistakes bother you?

As a lifelong terrible speller, I cut people a lot of slack when it comes to spelling and grammar mistakes. The english language is trash and so irregular it's a nightmare. Logic just does not apply.

that said, if you tell me you want an Expresso, I might punch you.

Capitol/ Capital. These are not interchangeable terms!

Best way to remember: The Capitol runs on capital.

Hasn't somebody axed about this before? I feel we conversated about this...

i kinda thought of it like - if you had mild to moderate curiosity about something, you 'asked' a question. but if you were really strident about it, you 'axed' it. skull splitting emphasis, if you will.

afterthought - am sure this has occurred to every single one of us who has ever uttered the phrase 'what the fuck is wrong with you?' when i want to know the answer to that question, i'm definitely axing.

:wtf

How does that phrase help one differentiate betwixt the two spellings? You would literally have to memorize the fact that the first word has an 'O' instead of an 'A'... then why use the phrase at all? Just memorize the spelling without a mnemonic.

It might be easier for people to remember this instead:
Capitol has an 'O' like the top of a capitol building.

My line was tongue in cheek! Maybe people have poor memories...

Happy Thursday Kev!!!!! (whatcha getting for a new bike?)

Decided to keep the Road King and fix it myself, used the payout to pick up a '23 Zongshen RX4. Took it on the Weaverville rally and officially reached break-in mileage while leaned over at redline. :laughing

I'm impressed so far. Been meaning to do a write-up on it and keep it updated with mods and problems. Overall fit-and-finish is subpar compared to virtually everything else out there but no complaints at all regarding performance.

450 efi single, six-speed
ABS, tire pressure monitors, all LED lighting, tft dash, high-output alternator, tubeless wheels, crash bars and luggage. :ride

Gonna get the wheels dirty in a couple weeks on the Hawthorne rally, then might sneak my way into an official ADV ride a few weeks after that. :party

I like your plan. That's a neat, efficient option. Don't know much about them at all. How's overall build quality and aftermarket part availability? Neat choice, IMO if they're truly $4995.

On the RoadKing, you gonna use Jerry for straightening, etc? We probable can get HD parts on our discount @ GP I think...

Zongshen sells a LOT of engines and motorcycles. One importer/dealer here in the states down in L.A.
Ali Express for parts and dedicated farkles.

A few fasteners are already stripped so I'll pick up some higher quality replacements and swap them out. That and their apparent ignorance of symmetry is aggravating but for sixty-three out the door I'll go get some new screws.

There's nothing to straighten on the Harley. Crash bars did their job and took the brunt of impact. Bent the tab holding them to the frame and it was instantly totaled at that point.
Some scratches on the saddlebag lids and one fork lower has a dent. Hell I rode the damn thing to the Kernville rally the weekend after the accident. :banana

I need to get caught up and then ahead of some home and moto projects before I can put wrenches on the Road King.

Good to read on the King. Time to make her a track bike!
