We're going to find out with Afghanistan.

I had to look up the word - an involuntary celibate who is unable to get a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one, says Wikipedia.
I’m not clear on the Taliban/Afghanistan angle?
You think modern Afghanistan women are lining up to marry these invaders enforcing religious laws from 500 years ago?
You think these men are charming, feminist, modern men that know how to make a woman happy?
WHat do you think their views on woman independence, abortion, women's health issues, and their right to choose?

Same mentality. No, I think they get to rape the women of other sects and such. Not making light of it but pretty sure that was MO.
My point is that they have the same mentality towards women.I just didn’t see the Taliban as being celibate, romantic no, sexual yes.
Islam is not a good religion for women
Is it really voluntary to wear a Hijab if you've been raised to believe you need to wear it?
This shows you know nothing of Islam. All you seem to know is the bad shit some of the extremists do. There are many members of BARF that are very good people that are Muslim. Some are the best members of Barf IMO.
I'll just get in before it's locked or moved- but it will go back to being like it was after Russia left and before we got there.
So... We might indeed go back to Civil war. There was, however, a voice from Afghanistan which strongly resisted. On August 17, Afghanistan’s first Vice-President Amrullah Saleh put out a tweet that symbolised his dismay over at the feckless US withdrawal and his resolve to carry on the fight against the Taliban.
‘It is futile to argue with @POTUS on Afg now. Let him digest it. We d the Afghans must prove that Afghanistan isn’t Vietnam and the Talibs aren’t even remotely like Vietcong. Unlike US/NATO we haven’t lost spirit and see enormous opportunities ahead. Useless caveats are finished. JOIN THE RESISTANCE.’

Sort of but not really...
After Russia left, Afghanistan had a civil war with a lot of warlords and militant groups who all did pretty terrible things vying for control. By 2001, it was pretty clear that the Taliban was going to win and they controlled most (but not all) of the country.
Now it looks like the Taliban will effectively control the whole government, which they never have before. I don't think the Taliban has any experience at all in running a government. They will probably make up for their lack of experience in governing with enthusiasm for mass executions and brutal repression of anyone they don't like including all women. So, this isn't the same hell as before, it's a new, though similar and equally terrible hell.
Though, there is a fair chance that without a common goal, factions within the Taliban will start to split off and the country will go right back to a civil war between many different militant groups.
No matter what happens, my mujahideen fighters and I will defend Panjshir as the last bastion of Afghan freedom.
Our morale is intact.
We know from experience what awaits us.
But we need more weapons, more ammunition and more supplies.
America and its democratic allies do not just have the fight against terrorism in common with Afghans. We now have a long history made up of shared ideals and struggles. There is still much that you can do to aid the cause of freedom.
You are our only remaining hope.

Edit: I only just saw this but apparently there are reports that remnants of the Afghan army are restructuring and have taken control of one district north of Kabul. (https://www.indiatoday.in/india-tod...-the-northern-alliance-2-0-1842560-2021-08-19)

It will all go back to tribal infighting no matter who claims to be in charge. There will be no rest.
