What is tearing up my shoe?

This is because I like you Andrew...

These are your shoes

And this was the fifth review down...

So, what would have happened if your foot got caught between the car and your bike when you had your accident and you were wearing these shoes?

I wear SMX 6's, something similar is this and is only $50 more than your shoes

I lowsided in my work parking lot and my foot was caught under the bike and dragged for a bit. I can take pictures of the scuffs on my gear but I was unscathed. Ego hurt but that was it :p
My choice for riding boots. The race smx's to too damn bulky.

You've been riding for a year and constantly disregard information from those who have a lot more experience than you. People aren't saying those POS shoes are useless just for fun or to offend you. It's because no one wants to see someone get hurt.

If you understand they offer shit protection, then so be it. But you're a fool if you think they're actual riding footware.

I don't think Alpinestars makes POS products. Your opinion is taken into consideration

I'm sure that the short boots are well-made, but the level of protection they provide is minimal. Again, wear what you want, but at least be honest with yourself about the level of protection that your gear is providing.

Alpinestars makes plenty of shitty products.

Look at their cheapo gloves on the rack at cycle gear, or their lowend jackets/boots/suits/pants.

Was just going to post this. They make cheap shit they sell for expensive prices because of the name brand stitched on it. They also make high end products that do their job and do it well.

Those look more like driving shoes than moto boots.

I haven't really seen. All my alpinestars gear is from Motostorm in Italy

Seems great to me. Haven't had any QC issues

That's to be expected with the woodcraft rearsets. The stuff is like sandpaper

Dainese features a suede covered sneaker replica for street riding.

Minimal armor, not much better than BILT stuff

It's not the brand, it's the product

True. Anyways this thread could be locked since it figured it out and fixed it with duct tape/aftermarket slip on things.

Really I fixed it by buying a 650R :D

I heard a guy once got banned after he posted he rode around the block in Nikes. Tread lightly op
