You are right AMF did come after the panhead I was not into Harleys at the time mostly hondas and yamhas. I lived in Pacficia and went to Terra Nova high. I was one of the linda mar hippy types when i got tired of the police harassment i moved to Burlingame for a few years but i spent most of my time in San francisco either working or at various conmcert venues watching or working with local bands then moved to Sacramento in 79.

Remember D and D Cycles? They started out in Half Moon Bay, then moved to Pacifica. They were a Yamaha and Triumph dealer, and did some service on my 1966 YDS-3 Catalina.
I left the Bay Area in 1979 too.

A motorcycle enthusiast is someone who tries to get everyone around them excited about motorcycles as well.

Or is that an addict... Hmm...

:rofl Yae in some ways your rite it take being one to take the HOG out some times LOL

I bought a lot of bikes from D&D Cycles got to be buddys with the owner who later moved to San Mateo and sold Kawasakis. I didnt know they started in Half Moon Bay. We used to modify the old yamahas dt-1's and 360's to something like a precurser to Supermoto pipe porting 19" front wheels fork brace rework the front brakes and carlysle dirt track tires and terrorize the twisties from the coast up to skyline. I can't remember the road names any more it seems one was purisema canyon.
