What kind of range does your MOTARD have till out of gas??

Ok so I am dead set on buying a supermotard but I just heard that KTM motards normally have a range of sixty miles till reserve?????

I am on group rides every weekend. id have to fill up three times on ride and one more at ride end if thats the case with all SMs.......

how in gods name does anyone hang with other bikes if your out of gas in eighty miles or less?????????????
 
60-miles. Aprilia SXV with 'bigger' 12L tank.
 
I can get on average of about 75 miles to a tank, without reserve most of the time depending on how much freeway miles I ride. I definately know where all the gas stations are around sc mtns. Thats on my husky 510, I weigh about 240-250 so you might get more out of a light weight guy. Oh yeah if you are getting a supermoto, I highly recommend the 510. The bike kicks ass and the maintenance is not as bad as everyone thinks unless my bike is going to take a shit on me and i dont even know it. You can do stand up wheelies rolling at 65 mph. Dont be afraid of the fuel range, supermotards kick ass and always leave you with a smile.

I go about 95-102 miles before reserve, and then fill up with ~1.9 gals, leaving another ~.6 gals to go! :cool

i have a drz400sm with a clarke 3.9 gas tank run it hard 170 miles a tank
 
My fuel light went on at 115 miles on my 610 with a 3.3gal tank, but I've yet to drain it to see what it really gets. I do know, though, that I need a 5gal tank for any future trips to NV.

I usually have to flip to reserve around 50 miles on my 510. At 60 miles I'm shitting bricks when there's no gas station in sight.
 
Mike and Yana's DRZ's get much better mileage than mine! Or I just have a heavier wrist!! :teeth

70 miles till reserve like clock work. And 90 miles to a full tank. I always average right around 40mpg.
 
I need to think about filling up at 100-120 miles and I'll probably run dry at 125-150. Yam WR250X (two gallon tank).
